Went here last night 3/3/19 Place was empty. Woman working had her 2 kids there. 2 booths looked like it was a day care center not the place I remember. Used to have glass table tops with white linen. Upscale chinese with the fountain. It's a terrible shame that the place declined into this state. I ordered shrimp toast. That was ok. Very greasy but ok. Ordered Shrimp with garlic sauce and beef with chinese vegtables. and my mother ordered Chicken and garlic sauce with pork fried rice. The sauce looked like it was mixed with their kids left over chef boyardee ravioli' tomato sauce. and the food was obviosly old leftovers that they barely heated up as the food was cold inside. The lady took the food back. Thinking they were going to heat the food in the wok. I was sadly mistaken when the food came back exactly as it was on the plate. Obviously they put the plates and nuked them in the microwave. I walked out and let my mother pay for the bill which came to $14.78 Total rip off. She charged for my soup. My mother's food and the drinks and shrimp toast. And gave my mother some of the chips and duck sauce for me to go. Unbelievable. I will never go here again. Ruined...
Read moreI was a customer of 3 or 4 years without complaint until 2 recent incidents which have made me decide that I will no longer spend my money there.
The first was when they delivered me the wrong order and told me that I was not seeing sesame chicken with sesame seeds and browns sauce...But that, apparently, something was wrong with my eyes and it was really the walnut chicken I had ordered in a sweet white sauce. The fact that I was a longstanding customer that had never complained before had no standing with them...but...I was still dumb enough to give them another chance...
this time I ordered my usual, black dragon roll, which comes with a sweet brown eel sauce on top. This time...no brown eel sauce...I call...They argue with me...I get mad and tell them I will bring it back and show them no eel sauce...I take it back and show them...They argue that it "leaked off" and cannot explain why there is no trace of brown residue on the green and white black dragon roll...They finally squirting a little sauce on it and send me on my way - no apology...no nothing - ...Needless to say, they will never see another...
Read moreThis restaurant did not impress, in any way. The food was mediocre, at best. I tried the Moo Goo Gai Pan. They filled more than half the plate with the fried rice that accompanies the combo. I wonder if this was too soak up some of the grease? The egg roll was also very greasy.
The server seemed very unsure. We had never been there before but he was the one that seemed to need help. He started at the front counter when we entered. We asked if we ordered there or sat. He said we could sit. Most sit down restaurants, there is someone to seat you or they at least greet you if they are busy. He was just standing there in la la land.
The place was sparsely furnished, probably due to COVID. But there were several booths on either side of the main dining area. I sat on my side of the booth and the person behind me kept pushing back. The booth chairs must have been very thin or something. It was very uncomfortable to feel every move from the other side and to feel that I was bothering then by sitting there.
It wasn't the worst experience ever but there was enough bad that I don't think I want to...
