Russo's New York Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen | New Caney — Restaurant in Kingwood

For us it wasn't great. The place was clean and the staff was friendly ok. We weren't very impressed with the food for the price. I'm not that picky, but after a certain price point, I'm really expecting decent food. My daughter ordered the ravoli's and said she preferred Olvie garden's. I ordered a pizza, and it wasn't bad. Not that expensive on the pizza, since I got a whole pizza and we took it home for the next day too. But we also ordered 2 slices of cake and didn't like them. My daughter got Red Velvet and after 2 bites offered it ot her brother. He only ate a little and passed. I ordered cheese cake and it wasn't flavorful. I was sad, and the kids each took a bite and passed. My daughter says she isn't going back, even if friends want to. I'd be willing to try if I tagged along with someone else that wants to, but I doub tthat'll happen. A few days later my brother told me that he tried it and won't go back. He's more of a food critic than I am, but they weren't happy with the experience. I really wanted to like it, we've been looking for other Italian places, aside form Olive Garden, and...

the first visit was great and so was the food but the second visit was terrible except for the food. even the red velvet cake we tried this time, cause we saw it the first time and wanted it, tasted and felt old with no flavor but cake flavor. don't even get me started on the waitress...I won't say her name but she was awkward, bugged us to much, filled the drinks to full cause both overflowed on the table, obviously you can tell she had never waited tables before, we would ask for dessert or a spoon or something and she'd unnecessarily explain what she was doing with the other tables instead of saying "okay" or "sure, I'll be right back", we saw her carry a costumers order all over the restaurant- even outside- then go back to look at the ticket by the kitchen. the other waitresses and host were great and looked like they knew what they were doing. so, hopefully nobody gets Zaily- we changed her name to protect her identity- because they'll have a absolute horrid, awkward and uncomfortable experience...

Worst service ever experienced. If I could give a negative rating, I would do it in a heart beat. Went there with my family on a Friday evening. When placing the order I was very specific of my order as a vegetarian pizza without onions. And as the indoor of the restaurant was almost full, we sat outside in scorching heat with my husband and 4 y.o twins. After almost 30 minutes we receive our order and it's a meat pizza. The waitresses also acknowledged as bringing the wrong pizza and told us that she will be back with the right order. After almost 30 minutes, I went inside to inquire about our order, and that soon found out that our order was not even started. After waiting another almost 20 minutes in the heat, our order was finally there and had onions all over it. None of the staff were apologetic or even seemed like they cared. I am just very very surprised as to how this place can be so crowded. I had heard some real bad experiences from couple of people, but had to...
