KFC — Restaurant in Kinston

I am writing this review to express my extreme disappointment with my customer service experience at the KFC in Kinston, NC, on Tuesday, July 9th.

I placed a mobile order 15 minutes before arriving at the drive-thru, only to be informed that my food was not ready. Despite being told to wait in the drive-thru lane, I waited for 15 additional minutes before exiting my vehicle to inquire about my order.

Upon approaching the drive-thru window, a young Black female staff member met me with a rude and dismissive attitude. She shouted at me when I knocked on the window, ignored my subsequent inquiries, and ultimately slammed the window shut after handing me my food.

This incident left me feeling disrespected and will prevent me from returning to this location.

The staff's behavior was unacceptable and fell far short of the customer service I expect from your restaurant chain. I left this same review directly with Yum! Brands, and I hope the franchisee took the appropriate action to address this issue and ensure that their customers are treated...

I didn't want to do one star because the woman was nice to me at the drive thru but that's where it ends. I did an online order. Set it for 25 minutes later just so they would have extra time to prepare it. I get there and they didn't have chicken tenders. Problem is I already paid. So I pick something else. I have to repeat to them MY WHOLE ORDER. You mean to tell me not only did I order online and give you extra time, but you don't have what I ordered, and then you don't even know what I ordered! So I repeat the order twice. Not only did they mess that up but I was overcharged by $4 because apparently they can't do math and determine what I ordered originally was more expensive that what they gave me. Just don't bother with this one and go to Bojangles instead. And another note, I've gone here multiple times and they always mess up my order, so that's on me for giving them too many...

This KFC at this location is the most absolute worst one I’ve been to in American history. I went to this location on January 24, 2025 for a quick bite to eat and ordered some of their chicken littles upon arriving at the drive thru to place my order the lady at the drive thru was actually very nice and understanding had no issues with placing my order it was receiving my order was the main problem I had to wait at least 10 minutes to get my food and then when I received my food one of my chicken littles had green mold 🤢🤮 on it that was absolutely unacceptable never been treated so nasty in my life. I walked back in the restaurant to receive my full refund to show them their mistake the lady at the register looked disgusted as well by the mold and I received my refund and left.
