🌮 La Terrazita: Where Flavor Wears a Sombrero and Salsa Has Swagger 🌶️

If you’re in Kinston and your taste buds are feeling adventurous (or just plain hungry), do yourself a favor and swing by La Terrazita for supper. My husband and I did just that, and let me tell you—we left full, happy, and slightly concerned about the state of our tongues.

We kicked things off with the Fresh Guacamole, which they make right at your table like culinary magicians with avocados. It was so good I briefly considered asking for a straw. Creamy, zesty, and so fresh it probably had a gym membership.

For my entrée, I went with the Burrito Blanco, and if you love carnitas, this is your soulmate wrapped in a tortilla. It’s the kind of burrito that makes you question all your past burrito choices. Tender pork, dreamy sauce, and enough flavor to make you hum a little while chewing.

My husband, who’s got a spicy streak both in personality and palate, ordered the Bistec A La Mexicana. This dish doesn’t mess around—it’s got heat, attitude, and enough spice to make your eyebrows sweat. He loved it, and I admired it from a safe distance.

Now, if it had been Tuesday, we would’ve gone full taco mode with their Hot Steak Tacos. These bad boys are legendary. They’re so good you’ll want to write them a love letter—but be warned, they come with a side of tongue-numbness and possibly a spiritual awakening.

First time was nice. Second trip, was my last. Too many other Mexican restaurants with much better food available in the area. Dirty silverware, my order was wrong, the food was subpar at best. I left over half on the plate! Decided to at least take the cheese dip home and was given dirty lids twice for the container. I went during their half price hours for certain dips and they tried to charge me full price because I ordered the large dip!? Doesn't say size on the half price items! They charged me full price for my subpar food, but not again! I would NOT...

This place was outstanding. Hands down the best Mexican restaurant we’ve had in North Carolina. Henry was our server, and his service was excellent. We had the shrimp tacos, and carne asada, and gauc. They make the guacamole fresh, and the tacos came out hot and steaming. We will definitely make...
