Grab a plate, visit the buffet, then the window to the BBQ area, or BBQ first; finally head to the cashier to weigh your plate and pay. They didn't have a list handy of the drink options, but the "suco" (smoothies?) are well worth asking for even if you don't know Portuguese. The guayaba (guava) is my favorite but the graviola (soursop) is very nice, a subtle flavor; the mango was a bit sweeter than I like. The suco is usually served with a straw but we got them to bring ours straw-less despite not being able to pronounce "sem canudo" right. I'm SO glad I asked about desserts. The flan is the best I've found, and the maracujá (passion fruit) mousse is amazing. Luckily they're in to-go containers, so you can relax after the buffet. Most of the staff know little if any English. But if you like the idea of visiting Brazil with a short drive instead of loooong flight, this Oasis could be a delightful adventure. Read moreAwesomely authentic Brazilian cuisine bursting with bold flavors and, of course, sumptuous mouth watering meat cooked to perfection. Took my daughter out to lunch here yesterday and we were warmly welcomed. There's a great all you can eat buffet on offer for lunch. All the options there are packed with full flavor, nothing bland to be found here! Then you are served delicious meat from a serving window that tastes amazing. We decided to go for the "weigh the plate" option for a lighter lunch, but when I come back with my sons I know they will be going back up for rounds 2 and 3! We didn't try the desserts but they looked very well presented and extremely tempting. There was a Brazilian theme to the ambiance with a Brazilian concert playing on one of the screens. The bathrooms were immaculate. Parking real easy. Can't wait to come back, just wish I lived a fraction closer, though that might be dangerous, I'd end up eating out...
Read moreGreat food at an incredible price point, but it can definitely be a confusing experience if you don't speak Portuguese. Here's a quick guide to make it easy:
Find the hostess at the front counter. Tell her you'd all like the buffet and that you'll pay after. Grab a plate, go to the counter labelled "Churrasco / BBQ" and get their attention. Ask for "um poco de tudo" (a little of everything). Gesture for more if you want more of a specific cut. Grab another plate and fill up what you'd like at the buffet table. I recommend at least the fried bananas plus some rice and beans with the farofa (cassava flour mix) on top. If you want a drink, go back and ask the hostess to grab you one from their fridge. Find a table and enjoy!
We paid ~$22 each for the dinner buffet, which included the buffet line plus unlimited meat (including tri-tip steak and sirloin cap...
