Not a good image for pizza hut. Supper slow service and apparently a pack of thieves.
Ordered my pizza on the phone to pick up on my way through town. Phone order was quite easy but when I arrived the cashier was busy ringing up an employee who had ordered several pizzas but the ticket was imputed incorrectly. She turned to ask a co-worker for help who refused her saying "you have to figure it out yourself I can't help you right now i'm busy". The cashier continued to struggle with the order for 5-7 minutes then finally figured out the transaction.
She then promptly left the counter to do something else. Leaving customers waiting in the lobby for their ready orders. (multiple orders read ready on the board) I waited another 7 minutes till I was helped. Paid for my now likely 20min old pizza and left, there was a line of 4-5 customers behind me at this point. I almost walked out to go elsewhere, planned to call back and cancel my order for taking way to long.
While I was waiting for the cashier to come back and help me two police officers came in and walked to the employee area, confiscated a bike that was apparently stolen and removed it from the property. While doing so an employee shouted out "hey that's ** bike!" When I was walking out and back to my car this same officer was talking to a different kid on the bike he just confiscated about stolen money and pills. The child said something along the lines of "120$ and some pills, you think I think that's worth it?!?!" What a way to display the workers of pizza hut, thieving, pill popping, money grabbing lackadaisical employees!
I wonder if there are any employees waiting to steal items out of my car while I wait for my pizza to be cooked. Or even if they ring me up correctly and dont pocket anything extra. After seeing this type of work environment you...
Read moreThe young adult guy working behing the counter building pizzas was handling all aspects of the process un-gloved, which included hand spreading the cheese with no utencils. He repeatedly interacted with the two waiste cans located between the pizza oven and the food compartment cooler, which places the cans on the left side of the cooler, behind the register. He washed his hands a few times in between, but did move across and interacted with food prep area and food without washing hands repeatedly as well, and he register to assist one customer and returned to prep again without hand wash or gloving. He was 18-23 in aprox age, wearing black pizza hut polo with black pizza hut sleeveless vest, his black hair was buzzed close and tight to the start of a higher cut afro, or frizzed curly hair. The young gall that was working along side had no issue switching between gloved and ungloved as she navigated her tasks. So I am stuggling to see why he could not as well. We will be going else were next time. Which is kind of a bummer, because there are fewer and fewer to find Pizza Huts, and this crosses out this somewhat convenient location off our list.
As I believe our pizza was made by the younger gall, I believe ours to be ok. However I offer this location to have this above mentioned guy retake his food card cert at at the (foodworkercard . wa .gov), "Do it right Serve it Save." I have faith in a positive improvement.
And to the owner, I see that this is a consistant violation of food handling being reported to you! So you can skip the response about "we'd like to follow up with you further, please email us at (insert email address here)?" Because its clear that with all these reveiws about food handling and safety, you hold no one accountable, change nothing, and your message is just for face...
Read moreâOrder readyâ screen not accurate (though they did finally get rid of it). Told me it was ready. Wasnât ready for several more minutes.
Location seems under-staffed (no surprise with all the hiring issues that many places are having). This location often subs their deliveries out to DoorDash and others due to shortage of drivers.
Update: Was just there again; manager got into a loud/lengthy argument with another employee while several customers were waiting in the lobby. Less and less impressed with this location. My 4 minute wait turned into a 40+ minute wait. They seem to have a serious staffing shortage. Manager (I wonât give his/her name) is very friendly in general, so I was quite surprised by this argument, but it wasnât my business so I just ignored it as much a I could.
Update: maybe they need to increase their wage offering. Often understaffed. I deliver for them occasionally, and wait times are getting longer and longer. One of staff members (who happens to often work right behind the front desk) sometimes wears pants hanging down below his buttâŚ..đ I was there yesterday for a delivery, and they didnât call my order when it was ready - they put it straight into the warmer. I didnât know it was ready for another few mins. I happened to ask about it again. Otherwise, it would have sat waiting for me, and I for it.
I might start ignoring their offers. Theyâre becoming a pain to deal with.
I was advised to email the owners directly in response to my initial review. Never heard back. That was a few weeks ago. Emailed again a couple weeks ago, didn't hear back.
Update: finally heard back months later. Responded to their response. That was probably a month ago. AGAIN,...
