This is our first and most likely last time going. We wanted to try something new instead of Angelo’s or King Kone. The girl taking our order was very nice and tried so hard to be patient, but several flavors we asked for were out. Then after waiting awhile for them to put it together the portions were so small. We all ordered medium and it was one scoop of that. I even asked “is this a medium?” Just in case and they said yes. We then sat down under the awning which was really nice, but the ice cream was average. Could it be that all the good flavors were gone? Either way we over paid way too much for way too little ice cream. I rather go back to Angelo’s or King Kone.
So after getting reply, the manager let us know that we had new people working that day, as well as not enough refrigerators. According to her, they order more refrigerators, and the staff was more trained. She offered us to return, and I’m glad we did! I feel the second time is a better experience, and the real experience of Kirkland creamery. They had bigger portion so expected and a lot more variety of food and ice cream that was not out of stock. It was also very nice of the managers were talking to People that were coming and eating ice cream. They try to modify the TV for the children as well as just socializing and getting to know people. I really enjoyed this experience and will be going back! They even ordered personal emblems for the tables which is a nice added touch or something little because your how much it means to the Establishment. So I changed my review and my stars. I’m glad I got a chance to return to see how it really is. You are...
Read moreI recently stopped at the Kirtland Creamery for an ice cream cone. This is my first visit. Driven by the Creamery a few times last year. The Kirtland Creamery is located on the west side of Chillicothe Road in Kirtland, Ohio. Chillicothe Road is a busy two lane road. If you heading south, like I was today, it is no problem to enter the Creamery. If you are heading north, you could be having many vehicles stacking up behind you before you can make your left hand turn across south bound traffic.
Kirtland Creamery has a drive up window and counter service. I used the counter service on this visit. There is a lot of off-street free parking for the Creamery.
The Creamery has a large covered patio with several picnic tables in front of the counter. They have more picnic tables, tables with umbrellas and several recycled plastic Adirondack chairs for enjoying your choice from the counter while enjoying the sun.
When I was there some folks were enjoying lunch and others, like me, were enjoying a softserve treat. The staff behind the counter are friendly. The seating/eating area is clean.
They have four sizes of cones you can select from with either vanilla flavored softserve, chocolate flavored softserve or a twist - vanilla & chocolate flavored softserve - served in either a cup or a cone.
I choose a large twist cone. Their large is much larger than DQ's large cone. On a sunny 80° day the softserve cone was a treat. The softserve was good but not exceptional. The price...
Read moreMy wife and I ordered ice cream. Mine was 1 scoop and my wife’s was two scoops and we asked for both to be placed in cups which has alway’s been our usual order. In the past, their amount of ice cream was very generous. Today, was our first visit of this new year 2024 and boy have things changed. Their portions of ice cream have been greatly reduced. When we questioned the amount in each cup the Manager said that is now the size of their ice cream portions. We were very disappointed as we have been going here for the last three years and no other ice cream business offered generous portions like they always did. Now they are no better than any other business. I believe people will see the difference from last year when the weather gets better and they place their first order of this year.
We wanted to let everyone know that we were contacted by Kirkland Creamery and they told us that they made changes back to their past ice cream portions. We went back last week and their generous ice cream portions are back as they use to be in the past years. We really want to thank the management at Kirkland Creamery for their concern and by contacting us to let us know the changes they made. They truly value our business. We will continue to come back week after week for their very delicious ice cream flavors and their generous portions.
