Unfortunately a bad experience. Thought we'd try this place for the first time for dinner, and what a big disappointment. First red flag should have been while pulling into the parking lot at 6pm on a Saturday and there were only 2 other cars. But didn't even think about that. Second red flag should have been the entryway--- nasty, unclean, dirty, littered carpet greets you as you open the door. Third red flag -- only 1 other table with diners. We ventured forward anyway. Get sat, bread plates and silverware on the table at the ready. Three different employees came by our table, but unbelievably not a single one offered to take a drink order. Finally presented with menus, and as the server was about to walk away, we had to ask if we could get drinks. Server was pleasant until later in our experience. Comes back with our drinks and proceeds to take our food order. Everything is a la carte (salads not included with meal). Ok, fine. I ask for a salad to go along with my pasta. I also ask for some bread, please. Was told no bread, and then I said "well, what's with the bread plates then? This is an Italian joint, right?" Just trying to keep it light with the server (she doesn't own or make the rules). She then tells me they actually do have bread, but it's a dollar per piece. šÆ wth?? Ok, I'd like 3 please. I think she was embarrassed. Done with ordering. Now, I kid you not, our meals were served to us in under 4 minutes! But of course, no salad or bread. Obviously food wasn't fresh or freshly prepared if it came out so fast. I asked the server to remove the salad and bread from my bill seeing as I never got them and didn't want them after the fact. This is where our server turns cold. Blames the kitchen staff, and pretty much ignored us from that point forward (wasn't like she was busy considering there was only 1 other table in the entire joint!). Food was average at best (and i'm being kind). Tasted microwaved. You could tell that this place was more focused on the "party room/catering" aspect of their business rather than their dining room as that was how the food tasted and the lack of attention to detail in our service experience. They advertise as "Kirtland's Premiere Restaurant..." Ummmm.... uhhhhhh.... hmmmmm. I'd like to say that maybe this was just a one-off experience, but the severe lack of patrons on a Saturday night should have been...

Such wonderful people! We will be back!!! Thankyou for a great experience!

Austin our server was fantastic! Well-versed in menu offerings, affable, engaging and genuine! Plus, he doubled as bartender making lovely cocktails!
The menu is global ā- their Indian dishes are delectable! We also shared a Bread Pudding that was PERFECTION (dense/ not too sweet/ real maple syrup in the recipe)!!!
The space is modern with open floor plan⦠It was busy and louder with several larger (6-10 people) partiesā¦my friend and I were fine chatting together despite⦠however, if one is looking for intimacy - it may be challenging to find such seating in the dining room. Please do not let this deter from going⦠just to be aware⦠Cannot...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSausalito Kirtland, an upscale restaurant, is āa best kept secretā in Lake County. It is in what was formerly known as the Kirtlander Party Center. In addition to a completely new dinner menu, the new owner has renovated and updated the restaurant in the back of the building. The front of the building is used as a party/event center. The excellent food is prepared and served by Mahesh and his quality staff. The drink menu includes beer, wine and hand-crafted cocktails. They also have a Happy Hour food and drink menu from 3-6 daily. My husband and I have eaten there twice and have been pleased with our dining choices. On our first visit, I ordered the Berria Short Rib Tacos with pickled onions, provolone cheese, and a side of pickled cauliflower. My husband is a Steakburger āGuruā. He ordered the Half Pound Wagyu Beef Burger topped with grilled red onions, smoked cheddar cheese and tomatoes on a pretzel bun with a side of seasoned fries. He raved about the quality of the meat and said it was superb! Our friends ordered Crab Cakes as an appetizer and Penne Aila Vodka in homemade Vodka Cream sauce, mushrooms, sundried tomatoes and fresh spinach. Delicious! For dessert, we shared Jack Daniels Bread Pudding with Jack Daniels glaze and Chocolate Mousse Cake with chocolate glaze. ALL TO DIE FOR!! Give Sausalito Kirtland a try. You will...
