I’ve been coming to Broadway Pizza’s for over 2 years now. I recommended the restaurant to my boyfriend so we stopped by for lunch today for our second time together.
The first time we sat at the bar, our server/bartender was incredibly knowledgeable of the menu, offered her recommendations, asked us our crust preference etc. I loved her energetic and friendly service. Not only was the service stellar but the food at the time was on point.
With this experience in mind, we decided to go back for lunch today. Unfortunately, we will not be returning after this visit. We ordered the exact same pizza 3 times and each time something was wrong with it. Prosciutto pizza with added mushrooms and kalamata olives.
Round #1, the pizza essentially came topped with a bed of arugula salad to cover up the fact of having little to no prosciutto. We mentioned to the server that we preferred thin crust and pointed out the issue of the toppings. The response was that we should have mentioned thin crust to begin with and that she could bring out a side of prosciutto. We kindly declined the side of prosciutto and asked for a new pizza.
Round #2, the same pizza was returned to us much darker, no arugula, a touch more slithers of prosciutto added, with mushrooms and olives. We were then told they would not be remaking the pizza.
Round #3, at this point we were offered to speak with the manager as we no longer wanted the pizza because of these ongoing difficulties. The MANANGER stated he would NOT be removing the pizza from the bill but that he would have a entire new pizza remade correctly. The pizza finally came back thin crust, cooked to perfection, even amounts of arugula and prosciutto, yet........no mushrooms, no olives.
Yet again we were offered to have another pizza remade...with our patience having been run up to the highest of heavens..we declined...asked for our bill..paid for what we didn’t order...and left.
My favorite pizzeria spot turned into a memory of the worst customer service experience...
Read moreUpdate. Ordered tonight and I think they tried to unalive us with that raw dough. Come on.
DISGUSTING. Cheeseburger pie was ordered with NO MOZZARELLA and there was like 2lbs of mozzarella on it. It was undercooked, they really sent RAW, WET dough.
10" cheese pie was also undercooked.
Absolutely disgusting and no regard for food safety. Pic - receipt that states NO MOZZARELLA is pictured with the mozzarella-laden pie.
Oh man, what an awful experience. I ordered 'create your own 10" pizza" , add basil pesto and grilled chicken. Requested LIGHT cheese.
They sent me a 10" pizza with LOADS of mozzarella cheese, plus lots of feta cheese, and no red sauce. I couldn't eat it, sadly, it literally just went into the garbage and I'm out a bunch of $$ for nothing.
Also ordered a 10" cheese pizza, the person that was for, who normally loves their food, said it was really bad tonight and sadly, that also just went into the trash. Beware. Because when they make their food right, it's AMAZING. But when they don't, and you tell them as much, they will literally resort to name-calling and verbal abuse, apparently.
PICS: #1, the side-by-side - BOTH pics are what the restaurant rudely claims are "Exactly what I ordered". The left is what I get when they ACTUALLY make it as I ordered, the right is what they've (wrongfully) sent me 4 times now.
Both are ordered EXACTLY the same way every time, yet look very different, don't they?
Pic #2 is ... one version of what they claim is their "pesto pie". Though, the last time they sent me what they claimed was their "pesto pie" it had purple onions, tomatoes, no chicken ... so I'm not clear on WHAT exactly their pesto pie entails, but it seems they...
Read moreFirst time coming in to try it and the last time ever. I walked in and the place was half empty there were plenty of tables open both inside and outside patio. The bar area also had enough chairs for my whole family. I had to wait for the hostess to finally greet us.
Customer Service-
Hostess: “How Many?”
ME: -Yes it’s four of us
Hostess: Leaves because she had to “check something in the back” after a couple minutes hostess returned.
Hostess: “I’m sorry we are so backed up today in the kitchen” “it will be a 20 minute wait”
ME: Okay no problem
Hostess: “Writes down my name then goes about her business”
ME: After an awkward minute of staring at each other I had to ask if we sit down at any of their available tables and have a drink while we wait.
Hostess: No sorry. You have to wait you can’t sit down
It should be noted that there were plenty of tables something like four tables available at the time that I could immediately see. without even trying. All the tables outside were available as well.
ME: So I had to ask again. After I took a second look around. Yes plenty of tables nobody waiting in-line either.
ME: So we can’t sit down and have a drink while we wait?
Hostess: “No you have to wait”
ME: Beyond confused I just walked out.
Just a recommendation: if you have a customer willing to expend money at your establishment the least you can do is offer them a drink while they patiently wait. Also make them feel comfortable and sit them down at one of your 10plus tables.
Don’t really care if take my recommendation serious. Just sharing my...
