I was really looking forward to indulging in one of my favorite dishes, but unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The rice was hard, as if it had been reheated from the day before, and the camarones had absolutely no flavor. This dish is known for its bold heat and seasoning, but what I received tasted more like ketchup with a bit of spice—far from the rich, flavorful experience I expected.
Additionally, the dish came with steamed vegetables drizzled with crema, which felt like an odd and uninspired side. There were no tortillas or tortilla chips as advertised, and the side salad was nothing more than lettuce, red onion, and avocado. Having grown up around authentic Mexican food, I was excited to find a local spot, but this was truly a letdown. Given the lack of flavor and poor quality, I would have been better off making it at home and saving my money.
I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously, as there’s a lot of potential, but the execution was...

I had the Botana La Reina. the taquitos were delicious…I will give this little critique…they were a little over fried. The chips with beans and cheese were my absolute favorite as the beans were to die for! You can taste that they were home made…just cooked to perfection. The quesadillas I did not try, but my daughter stated she did not really care for them and lacked flavor. My daughter had the Quesabirria with Consome and by far these have been the worst birria tacos we’ve ever had. They lacked flavor it was mainly a tomato paste taste. They were barely filled with meat and or cheese. I took the leftovers to my daughter and she felt...
Read moreHonestly, I never care to make reviews. But I really have to do this because I was extremely disappointed. I know for a fact Mexican food is amazing, I don’t know what happened here. The agua frescas were so sugary.. the salsa tasted like cheap canned salsa, the wet burritos were cold (keep in mind we were the only guests in the restaurant). The food came out so quickly there is no way it was freshly done.. you could taste that it wasn’t fresh or nicely flavored. Honestly I hope you guys do your best to make improvements for your business. I, by no means am posting this to be negative. I just really see that there is potential here. You should make most things fresh no matter how long it takes and add some flavor/love to that food yall! I love Mexican food, I don’t know what this was though, did not meet authentic Mexican...
