This restaurant is under new ownership since my previous reviews of what was then called Susan’s Courtside Cafe. It is now called Susanna’s Cafe and it’s very tasty. Today we stopped in for breakfast/lunch at Susanna’s Cafe. This restaurant is in Kissimmee near downtown in a former old house. This was our first time here and we loved it. We ordered Tequeños Guava & Cheese ($10.99), Breakfast Combo plate ($14.99) with scrambled eggs, bacon and waffle, and Breakfast Tacos($14.99) and a Chicken and Avocado Arepa ($12.99). We also ordered one iced latte, one hot latte and an unsweet iced tea. The bacon is good thick and tasty bacon. The flavors of the breakfast tacos was nice. The chicken salad on the Arepa is nice and creamy. We loved the Tequeños are really really tasty. The portions of food are generous and worth the price. We really enjoyed the lattes, so much that we even ordered an additional one to go. The iced tea is good but is quite lemony. I don’t like lemon flavor in my iced tea so I likely won’t order that again…but fir those that enjoy lemony tea, this is probably pretty perfect. All of the staff we encountered were excellent, friendly and kind. Our server Angelina was really nice , friendly, warm and informative. We highly recommend and give this 5 stars.
Susan’s Courtside Cafe reviews below: D-Licious! This is my second time to visit this charming little restaurant and I Love it. They have a decent sized menu of soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers and pizzas. Last time I ordered a tune melt and it was really good. Today we both ordered burgers with a side of potato salad and a side is sweet potato salad and we had the server bring us a cup if soup of her choosing. She chose mushroom bisque and it was really flavorful and creamy. They were out of Kaiser buns fir the burgers so we asked for them to be served on toast. These were some of the most flavorful burgers we have had in a long time. Very good choice today for sure. The sweet potato salad was very tasty and I remember I had that on my first visit too. The potato salad was very flavorful and different than We have had before. The staff is friendly, welcoming and polite. We most definitely recommend this restaurant. It is off the beaten path near the courthouse in downtown Kissimmee.
Back for my third visit and today we ordered a cup of chicken enchilada soup, Reuben (special of the day) with a side of pasta salad and a Mandarin Orange Salad. I am convinced that we cannot go wrong ordering anything on the menu or on the daily specials. The Reuben was very tasty and I ordered mine on white toast as I don’t care for rye. The pasta salad was very flavorful. The mandarin orange salad has mandarin oranges, almond slivers , feta cheese grilled chicken with a very tasty peanut ginger dressing served on the side. This restaurant is inside of a refurbished 2 bedroom home that the owners renovated. We learned today that the small 1-2 person tables are made from the homes kitchen cabinets. This cafe is very charming and comfortable to sit and enjoy the...
Read moreFood: I ordered the belgian waffle, bacon, scrambled eggs with cheese & a side of hashbrowns. I also got an ice water & the organic orange juice. I thought everything was very reasonably priced, but the orange juice was a bit pricey (I believe it was $7 for about 12 oz?). Even though the OJ was pricey, it was quite delicious. The food was amazing. Every bite I took was delicious. The belgian waffle was perfect in fluffiness, density, and sweetness. The eggs were scrambled wonderfully and they were deliciously cheesy (there was quite a few cheese pulls), all they needed was salt & pepper (which I added on my own, of course). The bacon was thick-cut and you get a good amount of it as well. The hash browns were piping hot and well-seasoned, soft on the inside, crunch on the outside, not too greasy or anything. The menu is simple but they have a variety of options to choose from. I would order this again.
Service: We were greeted brightly and seated right away. All the wait staff were super friendly and attentive. Our orders were taken as soon as we were ready and our food came out in no time at all. Any requests we made (refills, extra condiments, etc.) were also delivered promptly.
Environment/Atmosphere: The place was small in a cozy sort of way. They played soothing music. It's tucked away in the heart of a local neighborhood, so it's definitely a hidden treasure of an eatery.
Overall, I enjoyed the food and atmosphere. It's small, so it's not a place you could bring a large party; maybe a friend or 2. They do offer to make your food to-go, and the outdoor seating is nice if the interior is too small for your liking. I came from Baltimore to visit and while I've been to Florida several times, this was hands down my favorite food spot for this incredible price (I really need to check out more local places in Florida). I 100% recommend to anyone who's staying in the Orlando/Kissimmee area looking for a cozy breakfast/lunch/brunch spot. I wish I got some pictures of my food to post for the review, but everything looked so good and I was hungry so I dug right in.

Read moreI drove out of my way to give this spot a try. It was highly rated, I was intrigued. The location is adorable, a corner lot with lots of trees. Plenty of free street parking. Seating inside and out. I was seated immediately, and welcomed by a very friendly server. The service was great! I ordered the avocado toast and a cold brew with cream. The avocado toast came with a nice spinach side salad with a balsamic dressing, tomatoes and sunflower seeds. The toast was multi grain, avocado was mashed and topped with 2 eggs to your liking. I had them over medium. Seasoned with cilantro, lemon, onion and sunflower seeds. It was delicious and very fresh. The side cup of fruit wasn’t fresh, some of the sliced strawberries were overripe and brown. Cold brew was a bit too strong for me, bold brew I would guess. I took some treats to go: chocolate chip cookie, key lime cheesecake, and carrot cake. My favorite was the key lime cheesecake; it was light and not dense. Had a slight lime flavor but not overpowering. And not too sweet. The carrot cake was very dry and crumbly, not very good. Almost as if it was gluten free or the batter wasn’t mixed correctly. The chocolate chip cookie was ok. There was an odd flavor I couldn’t figure out. Maybe the type of oil? Texture was good, crunchy outside with a softer center and plenty of chocolate chips. Overall it was a good experience, the food was pretty good over all and the service was outstanding. All employees were helpful, friendly and courteous. A spot to...
