Here's a Google review based on your experience: --- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My family and I had a delightful lunch at Villa de Flora, located on the second floor of the Gaylord Palms, which recently celebrated nearly 22 years since opening its doors. It had been a couple of years since my last visit, and I was thrilled to see the beautiful renovations that truly enhanced the property. We arrived just before noon and were promptly seated by the friendly hostesses. Our server, Cathy, was absolutely fabulous! She and her team offered great suggestions from the buffet and ensured we had everything we needed, including timely refills. One of the chefs even went out of their way to prepare a special pizza for me, which quickly became my favorite dish of the day! ( Light sauce, light cheese and extra pepperoni! ) The atmosphere at Villa de Flora is inviting and family-friendly, making it perfect for guests of all ages. After our enjoyable meal, we strolled around the property, exploring various shops and activities, including alligator feeding and a preview of some fascinating snakes. If you're looking for a spot that combines delicious Mediterranean cuisine with a welcoming environment, I highly recommend Villa de Flora. We will definitely be returning and ask for Cathy !

A solid restaurant. I was sad that they did not have the buffet open that night. That said, the menu items that they did have available were delicious. My party had the charcuterie and the break w/ marinara sauce for appetizers. The charcuteries had a neat concentrated selection of cheeses and meats. I loved the prosciutto, salami and the pimento cheese spread. I had the Butcher's Pizza which was a tasty pie with ham, bacon, onions and an egg. Lastly, we had the tiramisu and cannoli for dessert. LOVED the tiramisu! It was refreshing and had pears at the bottom! Our server was delightful, great customer service! Enjoyed my experience here. I just wished there was more options on the menu. I might have a totally different experience on a buffet day. (P.S. I forgot to take a picture of the tiramisu before I ate it, but here is one half eaten). Edit: I revisited this location and had they’re buffet dinner and it was awesome as well. The theme of the buffet is a tad bit confusing, I would call it a Mediterranean and American mix. There is something for everyone!

This is a great buffet. The food is constantly being prepared and there are small quantities available at a time so it's always fresh. There are lots of meat and vegetable options. Everything we tried was excellent. The tomato soup, beef stew, salmon, chicken thighs. I believe their offerings may change from night to night. The restaurant is really kid friendly. It's low key and a server saw me struggling with my toddler and rushed over to help me. Our server was so attentive bringing us drinks and taking our plates. I took a star off for a few reasons. We were seated in the back where we were not in view of the buffet and we had kids with us so we had to take turns going up. The tables in the back of the restaurant are right under giant AC vents that cool the entire atrium and it really wasn't comfortable with the cold air blowing right over us. (I should have asked to be moved.) Also, we didn't find the desserts very impressive. We would definitely come back and just request to be seated towards the front.

We 100% recommend this buffet for dinner!

My husband and I and our teenage daughter and her friend went there for dinner last night and absolutely loved the food, service, and atmosphere ❤

We originally thought that it wasn't a buffet and you had to just pick one or two items.

When we got there, we asked to look at the buffet and the friendly hostess allowed us to check it out. There was soooo much food. There were different salads, breads, side items. They had a create your own pasta bar and a choice between different fish, chicken, pork loin, and prime rib (both sliced while you wait). The dessert bar was outrageous! So many choices and bite-sized, so you can have multiple ones.

I started with the charcuterie, then tried a caesar and another salad- both were delicious. I then went back and got a little each of the polenta, garlic mashed potatoes, Mediterranean rice, Mac and cheese, and the sliced prime rib. I went back for seconds of the mac and cheese and prime rib - delicious 😋. I then had Cheesecake, a mini cannoli, and flan! What a way to finish off a delicious meal. My husband loved the fish and had seconds. My daughter and her friends loved the chicken tenders, fries, and of course, the mac and cheese. They had seconds and even thirds of the desserts 🍨.

After a day spent outside in the waterpark, lazy river, and sun 🌞 we were definitely hungry for a substantial, yummy meal and Villa de Flora definitely hit the spot and worth the price!

When we are in the area again, this will be on our short list of places to eat.

The service was wonderful and the ambiance...

I reserved a table and paid in advance over $200 dollars ($80 for each dinner + $17 taxes + $28.8 gratuity) for me and my husband to have a nice family Christmas Eve Dinner... While the food was delicious, there was nothing special for a Christmas Eve dinner, nothing fancy or traditional Christmas dish other than eggnog brought to the table... I give a 5 stars for the food itself because it was well made and delicious!... However, the bad experience started with the hostess... the lady started yelling for the people in line to read the signs, instead of orienting people who already had the reservation to make a different line (it was not crazy busy as well, so she could have been more friendly)... Then, even though I had a QR code to scan at the door, the same lady kept asking for my last name and insisted my last name was not in her list... After spelling 3 times, she found us and let us in... Then, they put us in a table added to their restaurant normal tables, while there was still plenty of the regular tables available in much better spaces, which I felt very inappropriate... I am including a foto of our table for comparison... There was no table cover or anything to make especial for the occasion... Even though it was nice not to cook on Christmas Eve, I would never come back to this restaurant to celebrate a special date...

We visited for Dinner, Brunch and Breakfast. Villa was very good, but not great. There is plenty to choose from, even as a vegetarian (but not for vegans). The tomato soup is one of the best that I have had. The Polenta, fingerling potatoes, Asparagus , broccolini, and cucumber salad, were amazing as well. The hummus, bread, grilled vegetables with balsamic, and other salads were disappointing. For dessert I recommend chocolate cake or Ice cream sundae. I was not impressed with anything else. I was looking forward to the mini Cannoli, however, the shells were soggy since they fill them in advance. Rice pudding- Rice was hard and no flavor.

For brunch, fresh omelettes, Belgian waffles, and oatmeal were the stars. I was most disappointed with breakfast. The selection was smaller. They still had waffles, but they were not as good since they were sitting longer (it was not busy the day that we went). There was a fresh fruit area, but fruit was hit or miss. The melons (cantaloupe and honeydew) were the best. The Overall, enough quality foods to choose from, but you may have to try your way through some "not-so good foods" to find them. The prices were definitely high for the inconsistent offerings. Also, they charge extra for all beverages at dinner. If you order soda with your meal, they will also charge you for coffee...
