Bidg 12 not 14. I'm an owner and may not stay at Vacation Village again. Stayed for two weeks. First the burners on the kitchen stove did not work. Took 40 minutes to scramble some eggs! Either the wrong coils or pans or both didn't fit the stove. Kitchen faucet dripped for two weeks. The wooden furniture in the bedroom needed replaced. The finishes were well worn and showed non finished spots all over the place. The night stands drawer, with anything in it, wouldn't stay shut. Definitely old stuff and could fine nicer at many garage sales. The jacuzzi tub belched ot dirt and crud. A big one. . the HVAC system didn't work right. Workers came out three times. Finally the worker showed me how to trip the breaker on and off whenever it quit. Had to work the breaker 2-3 times per day to keep it going and our temp constant. House phone never worked. They diligently worked on the phone and phone line but it never worked. I had to go to front desk every time I needed something. Had to try to talk over the dial tone, busy signal and the standard recordings!!! Wifi was almost non existent. Had to go outside for service. On the first Sunday they brought the linens to service our unit. Left them outside in the hallway and never came back!! After FOUR trips to the front desk, someone finally came on Thursday!!! Almost two weeks? Finally, after my fourth trip to the front desk, they finally came. Cleaning lady, nice, but could not speak any English. Had to communicate via hand signals. Twice during the stay workers came to our unit who couldn't speak English. Never did figure out what they wanted. Workers should at least be minimally bi-lingual. Pool music was extremely loud and annoying. There's probably more stuff and don't remember what it was. Cut our visit short. Definitely not worth my points or money. Why didn't we ask to move? First of all that wouldn't solve the real problem. Secondly, that shouldn't be our responsibility. Thirdly, as an 80 year old couple, we would have gone home first, if we would have to have packed everything back up. As an owner, this was a very bad experience and deal. Would never recommend Vacation Village at...
Read moreIf I could give ZERO STARS I would. Our experience was absolutely horrible and ruined our vacation. Our first room had stains on the furniture and the phone was broken. We asked to be moved (and we said we would pay more) and we were told they were completely booked not a single room open. We went to the office to get a cot and the Receptionist took our money then went to call it in, then came back and said we couldn’t have a cot in a B unit. At this point we asked for manager, they never came out, just kept sending the receptionist back with information. Finally they agreed to move us to an A unit if we paid more. 🤦♀️ I guess there was availability but we had to be extremely upset to get it. We stated we would still need the cot but then it turns out there were none available. 😡 The new room had a broken phone, water damage on the ceiling that went across the entire unit, “clean” towels with stains all over them and a broken glass shower door that was caving in, and black mold spilling into the bottom of the shower from where the door was caving in. We called and explained everything only to be told they would call for maintenance. They didn’t show up until midnight. He told us he fixed the shower but he didn’t do a single thing it was still in the same condition. We couldn’t stay there another day with our family so we checked out the next day and weren’t even given an apology. We spent the next four days of our trip hopping from hotel to hotel because we could only find single night stays, since it was a busy time of season. This company should be ashamed in themselves to be called in the...
Read moreOnce they said I only get half my room..so shady there. Not upgrading the room very well, i.e. table chairs not made for table height, fridge is half a norm fridge, kitchen feels like a toy kitchen. NEVER in 20 years got a room facing Disney, so that "we'll try to accommodate" doesnt ever seem to actually come true. Parking lot is a mess. Having to park 2 buildings down to get a spot. Lot is filled with speeders as well. Dark and hard to see speed bumps make for an unpleasant entrance With that said, rooms are clean to a degree. Fridge handle is black with dirt. Bathroom towel hangers dusty. But for the obvious things i.e. sheets shower, bath all cleaned pretty thorough. My biggest gripe with this place are the vents. They seem to blow directly on me at the kitchen table and the bed.. could get sick or definitely dry throat. Who ever thought this vent type is appropriate is sorely mistaken. A up flow or straight flow would be more appropriate. Overall not a bad place considering the options here in Kissimmee because there are much worse places charging a lot of money. However, I would not buy into a time share here, as I forsee a failure in updating in the future. Renting, however,,...
