Vacation Village at Parkway — Hotel in Kissimmee

DO NOT STAY HERE. NOT SAFE!!! On Sunday (end of July) I checked in and I saw two little bugs in the bathroom at first there were only two so I thought maybe they came in earlier from outside well I got up at about 1:30am and there was an infestation they were all over the tub they were on the toilet they were on my sink they were on the floor they were everywhere so I had to call the front desk and get moved to another room.

The next morning (Monday) there is no internet for me to work it doesn't come on all day and I lost an entire 8 hour day of work on top of being in a room infested with bugs the night before. I don't know if I have bugs in my clothes I don't know if I'm going to have to fumigate my entire car when I get home before I bring anything in.

Around 11:00 a.m. on Monday morning a woman barged into my room unannounced I almost slipped because it scared me so bad. I told her what happened and she was laughing about the bugs she thought it was cute I don't find the bugs cute at all I told her to please let them know not to come to my room again Because I'm going to be here until Wednesday morning.

On Tuesday at around 11:00 a.m. the same lady from the day before barged into my room again unannounced and without knocking I was annoyed at this point and I reminded her to please take me off that list.

About an hour later a different girl barged into my room without asking without knocking and informed me that she was there to inspect the room because it's vacant. Uhh.. it's not vacant I'm .here..

I got mad and called reception and they blamed housekeeping. The manager said that she could not do anything or refund me but it was the fault of housekeeping and that the housekeeping mgr could come talk to me and I asked what would that do them talking to me? if you can't do anything what can they do? Who pays them? And so finally I said fine bring them by but tell them to knock and yes I was very angry so I was very loud and shouting at this point and I was very adamant not to have anyone else come to my room unannounced.

The housekeeping manager never showed up so I decided to take a quick shower. I started to undress and my door thankfully I put the little metal latch on this time and it banged into the latch a MAN almost got to see half of me naked! thankfully I had that latch on. that is very humiliating and embarrassing and I screamed and there's three of them staring at me through the door as I'm telling them to stop bothering me and where was this housekeeping manager and he says well it's not our fault it's reception's fault because they put it on the list for us to check because it's vacant. it is not vacant I'm in here duh you can see me clearly so I tried to call up front and now they're refusing to answer me.

So I called the police and filed a report. Called corporate, and what do they do? they call the hotel that's not helping me and they offered to switch my room and tell me I can't get a refund they did finally give me my $51 Resort fee back they said I bought from a different place so they can't refund me. so I have to deal the 3rd party now. You think this is bad well guess what happens after they move me a 3rd time, agree to late checkout so i can get some work done and PROMISE that no one is going to go near my hotel room that they've made notations. I've had four intruders so far but I was not going to get another one.

well as you'll see in the video I got a fifth person and this time I was ready with my camera.

If you have children or are a single female traveler I would not advise coming here because it is not safe for your kids who could be getting in the shower or changing and having a grown man or grown woman enter upon them and traumatize them. If you leave your things are not safe. They did not do anything to appease me not even an upgraded room or some kind of an apology compensation. Stay here and you will get nothing plus they don't care about...

So... I like the location, but... the rooms are lipstick on a pig. They Look good for presentstional purposes, but a closer eye says looks over quality. Things missing that we're supposed to be in the room. I know I gave it 3 stars for rooms, but that was because to the average person who dont care they wont see it for what it mm is. The cabinet handle keeps falling off. Reported to front desk and here we are 3 days later no fix. The handles are not for these cabnets either, one drawer cant ecen ve opened correctly because it will bang into the handle of another. Dish washers are very out dated. Tiles ate chipped, some are lose. Espically around the pool area which can end up pinching little ones toes.Washer rim has a black ring around it, not sure why so we use the other rooms washer. Pool is constantly being closed regardless of what the weather is Looking like outside. Could be clear bright sunny but if weather bug app then go by says there could be bad weather with In 10 miles they are shutting ALL the pools down. The hot tub in the main building is half broken meaning no bubbles which they say was working last week... yet been here 3 times and it has never fully worked... found a rat in a grill. Thank GOD it wouldn't light or that be poor thing would have been flame Broiled. Thing got in there some how and couldn't get out. Was supposed to have a Jacuzzi tub, instead it had a long tub. Guess I'm glad for the longer tub for my height but still it's nice to have jets, so thanks for that much. The doors to get in... some work some don't. Paged the lobby and they kept trying to buzz me in but they Couldn't. I'll never go without my card again. The costs we pay for staying, RCI costs, all the money flowing, seriously people, fix the place up Correctly. The same things should not be broken after a few days much less a year later or longer. Rats in a grill... that's gotta be a health code violation. Showing pools with fire pillars and you barely can swim and fires rarely lit seems like false advertising . Staff, on face value they are GOLD. They can only do as much as higher management allows. Always friendly and great even through frustrations. I would have to say more people need to complain and stay away until they get their shit together. 4 star seems like one star to many for this. You can't always go off a weather app and just take away one of the main Amenities we pay for when you can walk outside to sunshine. A few clouds, even sprinkles I am OK with but if thunder is cracking and lighting is spotted with the naked eye you sure do have something to stand on to close it off. If I wanted a hotel without a pool Amenity i could have done so elsewhere and saved loads of money. Also some hot tubs are not cared for, the one building had 3 or 4 different colors of paint showing. The kind of cash this place wants for RCI, this should never be an issue. The paint should be stripped and redone instead it looks like a jaw breaker with many color layers of worn paint. I'll take some photos and update. Also with the whole lipstick on a pig, the elevators. The buttons, they got like 3 to 3 different styles/brands on some elevators. That's crazy to me, it shows how cheap they are being. Some have lights just hanging out of the ceiling. It gets better or worse depending on which building your in but for the jawbreaker hot tub my descriptions are of their main building their offices are in which should be the most well kept... sadly it is the best well kept building. I will update if things change next year. Again, go on strike going here until they fix it up. We deserve more bang for our buck, we work our asses off for every dollar in this hyper inflation economy and damnit I value my life spent earning that money they get...

We stayed at this hotel last weekend and even though it is a nice complex it was a terrible experience. I don't think I've ever taken the time to leave a bad review before. But the experience at the front desk was terrible. RUDE. And at all times trying to put the blame on us for finding dried URINE in our shower. You could smell and see the yellow stains. I have a 9 month old baby and saw this unfortunately after unpacking. I was disgusted because my baby is crawling at the moment. It was a huge inconvenience also because we had to go pickup my niece at the airport. At the front desk they were nothing but rude, no empathy. B told me that oh, finding pee in the room was not her fault. It was housekeeping! And I'm like so aren't you the face of the company here? And she also said, since the were fully booked and were constantly receiving guests sometimes these things happen. I was just shocked by those responses. And my reply was for $160 a night this place should be SPOTLESS. So of course with those answers I was more and more upset and asked to talk to the manager and then Biani called me a LIAR in front of other customers and everyone heard. And that's when I got more upset. I then got to speak TO Lissette which was the something manager who did nothing really. She gave us a 1pm checkout. Then we had to go pickup my niece from the airport which we were already an hour late to because of them, and were not able to change rooms. When we got back to the hotel we were locked out of the room with everything in it. My baby had just pooped and had no where to change him, no diapers etc. It took them an hour to open the door. With a COATHANGER. Thank God the security ladies and the maintenance guy were super nice. Since the front desk was not helpful. n I got more upset. I then got to speak TO Lissette which was the something manager who did nothing really. She gave us a 1pm checkout. Next day got locked out of the room AGAIN after going for a walk with the kid and had to walk all the way to front desk to get new keys. To then be called by the FRONT DESK MANAGER KEN who was the cherry on top. He was SO confrontational. I think he was the worst of all. Not letting us speak. He had excuses for everything. Also telling me that it was housekeepings fault. Then my husband got on the phone and he just would not let him talk. The call fell through and when we called him back he said he didnt want to talk to us. So my husband proceeded to go to front desk to ask for his managers name and he kept ignoring him just acting like a child and having security stand by for what? My husband had our baby with him. Anyways after all the debacle and talking to 2 other useless managers we finally got the name of the property manager who was the only apologetic one. Like I told him, had one person had spoken to us with empathy, some understanding. Not trying to just say it wasn't me, it would have been different. At that point offered us an extra night stay. Which we thought of taking but did not take since the experience was so bad. Sad I am not able to post the video of them opening the door with the coathanger.

And now Expedia won't give me my refund. The property said it was Expedia and now Expedia is saying the property...
