Unfortunately, this is some of the best breakfast in Klamath Falls food-wise. The food is good, though it could use more seasoning, but that's just my opinion. The portions are substantial enough to make a 280lb, 6'4 grown man tap. There's a reason why they offer half servings of many items. The price of a mason jar of juice being $8.25 is as steep as the portions, but otherwise, all the prices are fair.
I decided to take my troops here for breakfast, and I wish I hadn't. The service leaves much to be desired. Myself and eight others walked in to be seated. The elderly hostess, who was also working tables, greeted us while wearing a shirt printed with "If you think I'm mean, wait until I don't like you." She immediately tells us that seating nine won't work. We say fine. We then look around and see two empty tables, one with five chairs and one with four chairs. We then asked if we could be split into two groups since they had the space to accommodate two, and we didn't mind being split up; we just wanted food. With a rather unpleasant attitude, the hostess responds and says no, stating that since we were together, we needed to sit together, and sitting together wouldn't work since there were nine of us, and they couldn't accommodate all nine sitting together. We then explain that her reasoning made no sense. She talks to someone else in the back, and somehow they talk sense into her and tell her it's fine. At this point, I had a sneaking suspicion that the hostess just didn't want us there.
We were then given another waitress to serve us. She was nicer but still rude. She was just better at hiding it behind smiles. The only welcoming staff member was a younger man, who was very friendly with a great attitude.
It took us 30 minutes to get drinks, 50 minutes to get food, and another 20 to get our checks. All the while, other groups had sat and eaten in the time it took us just to have our orders put in. Based on other reviews, I can't say with 100% certainty that my skin color had anything to do with our reception, but based on several other interactions I had in town, I have probable cause to have reasonable suspicions. I'm sure our wait was due to them figuring out who had to deal with the table with the black guy. Regardless of how decent the food here is, it still isn't worth the rudeness of the staff. Burger King has an egg-normous burrito with a fraction of the wait, attitude, and price. There was no reason for us to have given "Yes, Sir's/Ma'am's," "No, Sir's/Ma'am's," "please's," and "thank you's" with mountains of patience and respect just to receive the treatment we were afforded. I definitely went back to the local Air Force Base Kingsley Field and spread the word about how bad the service is.
