Weirdest crab Rangoon I’ve ever had. The tiny bit of filling they use doesn’t taste like anything. Doesn’t taste like crab & there is no cream cheese in it as the description states there should be. The way they flatten them makes it very chewy. Not crispy at all like it’s supposed to be. Not a team mentality restaurant, your waiter is the only person who will help you which is a terrible mentality for any restaurant.
Had to let them know we were ready to order. Had food brought to table & was never checked on again, no water refills, nothing all as the other waiter passed by us at least 10 times…….with an attitude because earlier I made the mistake of asking him for something.
Had to ask for the check & go drop it off up front to be processed. It was NOT busy at all. Maybe 3 or 4 tables.
Had $8 specials with pics running on the tv but they said no it’s $10 because of new owners. No cream cheese in crab Rangoon because of new owners. No more beer sales because of new owners. The reason the crab Rangoon is flattened because apparently they can’t get the products needed to make it the regular way……their words. Except I’ve had this appetizer in a few other places in town & no one else seems to have this issue. The energy & negative attitude overall is enough to...
Read more9Thai is one of the best restaurants in town. The food is great, but the service is questionable. Came in with my family on a Sunday night. There were a few table occupied so we decided to stay and order. The time was 7 and we had just finished riding our bikes so we first went in to wash our hands and use the restroom. As soon as we walked in, Lee (that’s what he said his name was), told us that he would be closing the restroom right after and that we wouldn’t be able to use it again. That comment rubbed me the wrong way but we decided to stay. Mid meal, my daughter seemed very uncomfortable and was afraid to tell me that she wanted to use the restroom. Without hesitation, as soon as she mentioned it I got up and escorted her to the restroom. Lee seemed to have a problem with it but I did not give him a chance to engage. This is not the first time this man has ruined our experience. He seems to have a chip on his shoulder or simply hates his job. I’ve been a server before and would never treat someone with such disrespect and still expect a tip. The rest of the staff is nice and courteous, but this guy just ruins it for me. Now we just order to go...
Read moreI liked 9 Thai the first time that i went, but since then i have gone a few more times and my reviews have changed.
I ordered a few of the buy one $25 gift certificate, get one free from the local radio station. I recently used it for the last time on my last and probably final time at 9 Thai. They offer 10% off if you do take out, but when i showed up to pick up my food, i was told that the discount didn't apply, but it had been applied before, because i had the Coupons that the restaurant signed up for in the first place. The manager was very rude, especially when he is the one that signed up to do these gift certificates through the radio station, and they are gift certificates not coupons.
I would have had no problem with it, if the rule was consistent, but it was not. I ended up getting everything i ordered and did not have to pay more, but it was not a good experience.
On a different occasion, i didn't get rice with my lunch meal, and had to go back and pay extra for it. It's safe to say i won't be back, because the food is not nearly as good as any of the other Thai places, and the manager has terrible...
