Mind you I’m a blue collar worker and dressed as such for lunch. Had a reservation for 12:45 showed up at 12:40 and asked me to wait as they didn’t have a table ready which was fine, but two minutes later another group walked in with a reservation at 12:45 and was sat right away. Then the manager said they had no seating available and asked if we could sit at the bar, to which I just waited for a table. We went during a soft opening where my company had comped the meal and when our waitress took our drink order she made sure to first let us know that beer wasn’t included even though nobody asked for beer. Since it was a soft opening they only had four items on the menu to pick from which was fine because my group of 4 got one of each. To which the owner came over and basically called one of us the equivalent of a nine year old for ordering a dish. The food we received was sub par compared to the white collar workers dishes… we had other coworkers to compare too. Some of it wasn’t even cooked and still raw. Then for a cherry on top as we were leaving we left a tip on the table but the waitress stopped us because she didn’t see the money we left(20%) and told us we had to cover the tip. This place is a place that caters to rich upperclass folks which is fine, but it was evident to the four of us blue collar workers that it wasn’t our business...
Read moreWe had been to Cazzy's a few times for dinner and enjoyed our evenings. Yesterday, at lunch, my wife ordered the "smoked salmon wrap – house smoked salmon | arugula | red onion | tzatziki | fries | $17.00". Unfortunately, when the wrap arrived it was dry, and my wife noticed the kitchen had left out the tzatziki sauce. She noted it to the server, and he agreed to bring it to her. After more than 15 minutes, she had to go retrieve it from inside herself as her group was on the patio. The waiter never returned until he brought the check with a $1.00 up charge for her sauce that should have been included. Rather than argue, she paid $18.00 for a dry wrap that was only complete after most had finished their meals. Fortunately, she could eat her brussels sprouts which were very good. We will think twice about returning as this was a negative experience to the whole group of six since everyone wanted to wait for her to receive her meal but were forced to proceed before their...
Read moreThe restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. We were greeted and seated promptly. The crab dip appetizer was good, not great. Not very heavy on the crab. I ordered the tumeric chicken on the server's recommendation. The chicke was good, solid seasoning, but the cous cous was dry and the okra garnish was fried until burnt and inedible. It taste d like dryer grease I did let the server know exactly that. Chicken had great flavor but the okra was burnt. She said she would "let them know". However nothing was ever done about it. I expected at least some fresh okra. We finished our meal, paid, tipped 20% and left.
We love supporting local, but I don't feel my $83 was well spent. We probably won't be back....
