Krystal — Restaurant in Knoxville

Half the time when I come here, they’re prompt, polite, and quick with the food. Other times when I come here, I will wait 20+ minutes in the drive thru only for them to still somehow get my food wrong.

Tonight was one of those nights. After waiting for about 10 minutes just to be able to order, I had to repeat my order 5 or 6 times to the lady running drive thru and she still somehow managed to over charge me by charging me for an extra Krystal which we ended up not even getting with our order. I would have loved to have gone in and spoken to the manager but I didn’t want to be there for an additional 20 minutes to get my change or extra Krystal I didn’t originally ask for because that’s genuinely how slow they were being.

No wonder they’re going bankrupt with quality of service being so poor and inconsistent. That being said, the morning staff is always polite and wonderful and sometimes even the night staff is too but good luck if there’s more than 1 car in front of you.

Very rude lady at the drive thru it was raining an I had my four yr old with me an they refused to allow me to pick up a Uber delivery order in the drive thru even tho they stated your delivery is ready but your coming in to get it. I said I normally do can I do this one time since it's pouring rain she stated ugh no if u want it get your a word out of your car an come get it. An I said this don't make no since ma'am no one's in the drive thru can u write down the corporate number yet again I'm told if u want the order or corporate number u need to get outta ur car an come get it an then I was told to cancel the order an let another driver come get it. I'm not the only Uber driver who's been treated this way at this store. Either management needs to train there employees or they need to stop doing deliver orders or they need new management. I've made 3 trips to the Powell Krystal the last several weeks and the speed of service is unacceptable. Today, I pulled up and was one car away from ordering. From the time I arrived (next to place a order) and the 5 car in line, it took 17:35 minutes to get my food. I know the exact time because I thought to time it today because the previous two times took forever.

Each time I've been, cars have pulled out of line and left and I almost left today. I'm not sure what the problem is, but 17+ minutes in a drive through is excessive. This is not an isolated incident and every time I drive by, there is a long line. I intentionally went pre-lunch rush to get through quicker and it still took 17 minutes.

On the bright side, the lady working the window was very pleasant so I opted to not complain. Furthermore, the food was good. However, this location is losing business due to the painful...
