Never thought I would give McDonalds a 5 Star review but here goes. I popped in this morning for a biscuit, a cup of coffee and a quiet spot to have worship. The drive through was busy but there were few customers inside. The young man who took my order did not seem to be a manger but he acted like one, in all the best ways.
He brought my food to me and made sure I was pleased. On the way back to the counter he stopped to compliment a coworker on the great job she was doing scrubbing the floors. That caused me to observe her and I’m telling you right now I have never done such a through job scrubbing my own floors. Not a corner was cut and she obviously took pride in her work. I would hire this woman for a much more responsible job on the basis of that alone.
Back to the young man. I heard him discussing how they could best keep the restaurant up so that when they are up for an inspection they won’t have extra work to do but can go forward on any inspection with confidence.
The woman i ultimately perceived to be the manager was also warm, friendly and conversant with the customers.
No offense McDonalds but none of the above is what I have come to expect. The corporate culture of this franchise must be phenomenal. In looking for something about which to fuss I couldn't find anything.
Well played Northshore McDonalds, well played.

Read moreMore than once this location has been where I chose wrong to stop at. It's no the mcDs you gonna want to stop at. Try the next one. Poor service, bad food. Tonight after waiting 35mins from time of order ,I go to check on it and with 5 worked standing at front counter, I wait to be greeded. Nope, no time for that. I ask to them all about my order. I'm told they are waiting on fries but hear is the happy meal. Anytime period of time passes ( 10- 15 min) we are brought our remaining food. Understand that we used the stand alone kiosk to order, so we ordered 2 burgers, both 1/4 one dbl. One no Onion add bacon extra mustered. It's the reg 1/4lb well it's cold and no mustard v with the extra mustered tag on it. There other is hot but mostly raw. Again I venture to the front and with a group still there wait... So I asked who is working the front. Then I'm asked what do I want. I have them the raw burger and explain the issue. And got the money back with no apology, nothing. This was a 6pm visit but over the years I have found it doesn't matter when you go. It's just...
Read moreDepending on the time of day, you're order might be fresh, hot and correct, then again maybe it won't be. I would recommend going inside to order (even if it's a "to-go") & double checking your order in the store when they hand it to you. If it's wrong, look at your ticket, make sure the cashier put your order in correctly, if not, remember the kitchen only sees what is on the screen. If it is right on the ticket, but wrong when you get it, then notify management instead of taking it out on the of the cashier. If you special order something, let's say QP w/cheese, no onions, extra pickles. Be patient, you're changing their "routine" & double check the order when you get it. If it's wrong, don't get mad, they are human & make mistakes, it's inevitable. If they do get it right, tell them. I'm being serious, TELL THEM something like "hey y'all, great job, thanks for getting my order right", smile and MEAN IT. They will remember you, and chances are, they will go out of their way to get right...
