It's an open atmosphere, and can get kind of loud as people come and go. I also prefer a booth to a table, for no reason other than the little bit of privacy they afford. The food was good, enough for one person. I'm used to getting so much that I have leftovers, sometimes even after sharing in the restaurant first. That definitely wasn't an option. Drink refills cost. It's distracting for younger children, and can get overwhelming. They seem to work semi cohesively, without many, if any errors I was aware of. The prices seem a little on the high side, considering quantity and atmosphere. I appreciate that they're owned and ran by family only, from what I was told. It was very clean, especially considering how open it is, and the transparency that brings. Drinks are average priced, and are flowing behind the bar from start to finish. Considering the town has 3 Mexican restaurants, there's competition at all times. Although, asking the regulars, it sounds as if everyone pretty much has their preference, and sticks to it. There were highchairs, but always a huge issue for me is the lack of cleanliness and the lack of safety. There's not a whole lot of a reason to use them if they're not safe, or more dangerous to use than just sitting the child on a lap. This was an issue last time too. Disappointed that it doesn't seem to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGet. Some!! Flavor is King, and this dish had it! Ordered the Pollo El Mezcalito ($8.99) , which is chicken with rice, beans (if you want), some kinda red sauce and cheese sauce with mushrooms and onions. Dang! Delicious.
At first I was like, āWhereās the chicken!?ā, cause itās not a while chicken breast, itās cut up pieces of such. But you know, it works. Only complaint was that I ESV out of rice and had to ask for more. They charged me $2.99 for it, which I thought was a bit steep since I didnāt get any beans, but I was so happy with the taste that I said nothing and just enjoyed it. Tortilla chips are a bit stout for me, thick and grainy, but the sauce is very tasty! Looks like an abandoned fast food drive through place from the outside, but Iāve learned that the best Mexican meals are from such places, so I never fear and I just dive right...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAmazing atmosphere, absolutely loved the fact they had the lights off and allowed the natural outdoor light to brighten the restaurant.
Really kind service , one of the workers actually greeted our 1yr 5 m old baby, got him to smile and laugh, brought us a highchair as well so he could be safe and sit at the table as well. Very polite, food was fantastic! I ordered the Enchiladas and my love got herself the chicken fajitas as well as a Mango Margherita and I got myself a Negra modelo which came with a small lime wedge.
My meal cost around $12 and a couple dollars for the drink. About the same for the other meal except her drink was around $7 or so
Total came out to around $41 for the both of us to eat which was a great price .
We will be...
