I was so hopeful I'd found a good Indian Restaurant what wasn't out west. Visited Thursday evening and was disappointed. Service was great, location is good. Food was lack luster.
Garlic Naan was really good, lots of garlic. Veg Samosa has some flavor but weren't hot enough. Kinda warmish. Chicken 65 was a little different then I've had before. Was supposed to be spicy, even asked for extra, didn't find any spice in it. Didn't have much of an aroma either.
I was banking on finding a solid Chicken Biryani, (the Indian restaurant in PF was my favorite for years, not so much anymore). My biryani smelled amazing. The presentation and aroma were 5 star. When I dug in I found the dish to lack any sort of pop. Chicken wasn't hot, was cool, damp?. No spice to the dish at all. Lacked flavor. I brought it home and will give it a day in the fridge to meld. Hopefully it will improve.
I'm still looking for a good spicy biryani in Knoxville or the area....

I ordered the Tandoori bowl with jeera rice from Ohh Lala while passing through on my way to Kentucky from the Smokies, and initially, it tasted good. However, shortly after, I started feeling extremely unwell, and my stomach has been upset throughout my journey. It’s been a terrible experience that has lingered even today.
I suspect the food may have been expired, possibly up to four days old, which is completely unacceptable. As someone who enjoys Indian cuisine, it’s frustrating to see such poor food safety practices that could seriously harm customers. This kind of negligence gives a bad impression of Indian restaurants overall, which is unfortunate because the cuisine is usually much better.
I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that their food is fresh and safe for consumption. Until then, I would advise others to be cautious and perhaps look...
Read moreSteer clear of this restaurant! We’d heard mixed reviews, but nothing prepared us for the awful experience we had. My ten cousins and I were on a family trip and decided to give it a try. Big mistake. The manager was shockingly rude, snapping at us for no reason. We were told to wait 15-20 minutes just to get a table, and the staff made it clear they weren’t happy to see us, especially since we showed up at a time that seemed inconvenient for them. The place was a mess—obvious health code issues, holes in the walls, and terrible ventilation. When we asked for a simple tweak to a dish, the person at the tandoor swore at us in Hindi, telling us to “go screw ourselves” (using some pretty offensive language). It was unbelievable. The service was so dreadful that I can’t imagine anyone wanting to go back. Honestly, I’d be surprised if this place stays in business. Save yourself the trouble and avoid it...
