I had a wonderful time walking around Volunteer Landing in downtown Knoxville Tennessee. I was just out for a walk along the river with my camera looking for things that would make some interesting photos. I really liked the way the bridges and trestles overlay each other. I recommend Volunteer Landing for anyone who is looking for just a nice walk or bike ride along the river. And when you're finished with your walk you can always go to Calhoun's which is located right there on the river also. I would recommend Volunteer Landing to anyone looking to get out and go for a stroll.

We had brunch at Calhoun‘s on the River and walked through the. park to the Neyland Stadium for the 2025 UAB versus Tennessee football game. Aside from the nice views views of the river and all of the large boats decked out in orange Tennessee paraphernalia lined up on the river for the game, there are also places where you can sit down and enjoy the views. There are also several artificial rock formations with waterfalls adding a tranquil element to walk.

Always a treat to visit Volunteer Landing! We visited the Nina & Pinta docked here for tours. The staff was very friendly and informative. They showed us around and gave facts about operations. The tour depending on interest could last up to an hour. It is kid friendly and under 4 is admitted free. They also have souvenirs to purchase that help support their travels. Definitely worth a visit for any history buff.

We took a cruise for my Mother's Day. It was very beautiful And relaxing, except for the fact that the service was absolutely horrible, I would consider going on another cruise 🛳 Until I received service, as I did.. They did not check on us or cater to our needs we. Ordered appetizers. And it took a whole hour and a 1/2 before we receive them. Mind you. After I had to go up to one of the young. Ladies and complain, about not getting them. We all ordered. Liquor drinks and they were all watered down. I feel like the young ladies were from high school. An inexperienced? They should get people that are at least 18, with experience in customer service and drink making. One young lady was just standing around doing nothing. Wow. The other young lady was trying but focused only on one table. Instead of the young lady asking, what can I do or where can I help at? No one even consider checking on us as if we were invisible. After waiting a whole hour and a 1/2 when the cruise was over most over and our appetizers came. They should have just given it to us on the house instead of charging us 67 dollars for chips and dip, which were Tosti's and pecante that I could have bought at the store myself. They didn't have any menus or couldn't find any very unprofessional so we had no clue what they really had to offer. Then, when the check did come up, she stood there. As my son was writing out, the check which is very unprofessional. You should walk away and let the person finish writing office check. And then come back. I was extremely dissatisfied with the service. And felt I could have had a Better experience doing something else. Customer services everything! And I would have loved another cruise, but that service threw me off...
