Its unfortunate to leave such a harrrowing review about Papa Johns as this has been my preferred fast pizza company since childhood pizza parties.
My family had the displeasure of ordering pizza and Parmesan garlic breadsticks via DoorDash; after the order was placed, we immediately called the location with a specific request. “Please don’t burn the breadsticks.” We even paid for extra Parmesan garlic sauce for the breadsticks. When we called, the rude, untrained man that answered the phone lacked any form of customer service by rudely answering abruptly placing me on hold then resuming the call only to send the exact opposite of the breadsticks I requested- almost as if it were intentional.
Of course, as any paying customer would do, I called this location, politely requested the manager and explained in detail my experience from the call to the unacceptably burnt breadsticks. Ashlynn, the manager advised me that they could remake the breadsticks when we offered to come back to have this matter corrected. I then requested that the pizza be remade as well because once we’d driven to the Papa Johns Tazewell Pike location waited for the breadsticks to be ready, then drive back, the pizza would be could. If you recall, we ordered these two items together, as a meal.
Ashlynn advised me that the would not be remaking both. I explained to her the aforementioned logic… I then asked if she was the general manager, she stated she wasn’t but the GM would be back Friday.. I asked if this was a corporate or franchised location, she advised that this was a franchise, I asked for the franchise owners customer service contact she laughed and stated she didn’t have this information, but again, I could call Friday to speak with the GM.
Eventually, Ashlynn stated I would need to contact DoorDash to fix this issue. I explained that door dash was not responsible for preparing this order. I asked Ashlynn if she would allow me to contact DoorDash on a conference call to correct this matter, again she laughed then told me to have a good night! I repeated my question, she told me to have a good night then hung up in my face.
Door dash did refund the order and I plan to contact papa Johns customer service as I can say with certainty that this is an intolerable level of service(or the lack thereof).
I implore this franchise to utilize the HEARD standard (as used by Disney Corp, Chick Fil A, etc.) for training employees but most definitely before...
Read moreI used to order from this location frequently as I used to live in this area. The majority of experiences have been good.
However, some things are constants:
*They frequently forget to give you the spices you order.
*They frequently forget to give you the special sauce you order with breadsticks. No matter what I mark down on my order, it's always regular pizza sauce that's delivered.
*They don't compensate for the extra time it takes to fully cook a Supreme pizza with 7 toppings, so it's frequently undercooked.
Other than that I haven't had many issues here, although they did once forgot to bring the 2-liter cola I ordered.
The pizza is usually good, especially when I order thin crust. It's cooked fully the way I like it. They have a good selection of sauces, so I usually order extra buffalo and sometimes barbecue sauce.

Read moreThis the only location for my address. It's beginning to be a consistent problem. Most of my pizza is delivered thrown around in the box before I get it. Some times it's luck warm. It's always a hard time getting employees to handle their job professionally. Just this last experience last week where the delivery driver came out and I had to pay for my order over the phone, The man whom answer the phone wouldn't let me speak to a manager. I had to hang up call a second time and still encounter the same man. Remind you this who Time. I'm haven't to stand at my front door in the freezing cold with my grandbaby getting cold. The delivery driver was absolutely amazing. Papa John's seems to think standing outside in the cold for 12 mins was ok.
