Discriminates against service dogs.
When I walked in a buzz cut Asian man looked at me and my well behaved service dog with disgust and said no dogs. She had a vest on with the words service dog. I told him she’s a service dog. He said she’s big. I said many people have big and small service dogs. Then a lady with blonde hair behind the desk said “do you have paper work” I said I’m not required to have paper work other than letting you know she is a guide and assist service animal.
I told them to ask me such questions would imply they will treat other people the same way. Some people have service dogs for PTSD, diabetes, seizures, blindness, autism etc. and their privacy is important.
I decided to leave and told them to look up the laws on service animals so they don’t discriminate against someone else.
I don’t know how the food was because I didn’t get that far. I hope this doesn’t happen to someone else.
There are no federal laws against service animals in restaurants; in fact, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) generally requires restaurants to allow service animals. Businesses cannot deny entry to a person with a service animal because it is a working animal, not a pet. Restaurants can only ask two questions to verify a dog is a service animal: "Is the service animal required because of a disability?" and "What work or task has the service animal been trained to perform?". Businesses can ask a person to remove a service animal if the animal is out of control or not housebroken. What restaurants must do Allow access: Restaurants must allow people with disabilities to bring their service animals into all areas where customers are typically permitted. Do not deny entry: A "no pets" policy does not legally allow a restaurant to exclude a service animal. Allow service animals on all areas: Restaurants must treat customers with service animals the same as other guests, providing equal access to all areas open to the public. What restaurants can do Ask two specific questions: A restaurant may ask: Is the service animal required because of a disability? What work or task has the service animal been trained to perform? Ask for removal if necessary: A business can ask a person to remove their service animal if: The animal is out of control and the handler doesn't take effective action to control it. The animal is not housebroken. Charge for damage: A restaurant can charge a customer if their service animal causes damage, as long as they also charge other customers for the same type of damage. What restaurants cannot do Ask for proof: You cannot ask for certification or proof that the animal is a service animal. Prohibit based on "no pets" policy: You cannot use a "no pets" policy to deny entry to a...

I regret to share that our experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing due to several service issues and unprofessional behavior from the management team. Was really looking forward to a nice experience and a seafood dinner.
We arrived at 5:30 PM with a party of eight, and there were only a few other customers ahead of us. However, after waiting for approximately 15 minutes, a party of six arrived and was seated before us, even though we had been waiting for nearly an hour. While I understand it was their opening night, it was concerning to see other guests seated ahead of those who had been waiting longer.
Once seated, our waitress was inattentive and did not acknowledge us for an extended period. It was approximately 30 minutes before anyone took our drink order, and another 30 minutes passed before our drinks arrived and our food order was taken—only for the order to be incorrect.
After more than an hour, part of our food arrived, but the rest was delayed. When we inquired, we were told it was on the way. However, our waitress disappeared, and we were left with no communication. At this point, we approached the manager, who explained that it was their first night and asked us to be patient instead of offering an apology or addressing the situation. Another manager eventually came over and assured us that the issue would be resolved. After an additional 20 minutes, the remaining food arrived.
While the food itself was decent, the overall service experience left much to be desired. When it came time to settle the check, there was confusion regarding our order, and the charges were incorrect. After waiting a considerable amount of time, we approached the manager for clarification, only to receive a hostile and rude response. The manager dismissed our concerns and made an inappropriate comment regarding one of our group members’ complaint about the service. It was also noted that a nearby group with similar issues had received a discount, which made the situation feel even more unfair.
This experience was disappointing not only due to the poor service but also because of the unprofessionalism displayed by the management team. It seemed that many other tables were experiencing similar issues. In total, we spent nearly three hours in the restaurant, and despite the quality of the food, the overall experience was far from acceptable.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and addressed in order to improve future customer experiences. Unfortunately, due to the lack of professionalism and customer service I will no longer be a patron of this restaurant and I would recommend that anyone else goes somewhere with...
Read moreI’ve been here a total of 4 times since the opened and this was the worst visit mainly due to our server.
Let’s start with the positives. The host(s) are extremely nice when you walk in. The place is clean and vibrant and it’s a great atmosphere. The fried catfish is absolutely amazing and i highly Recommend. Their spices and flavors are 1000000x better than storming crab on Kingston pike. And the restaurant doesn’t overly fishy.
Now the bad.
And i cannot Stress this enough: THEY DO NOT WEIGH THE CRAB LEGS. THEY DO NOT WEIGH THE CRAB LEGS. THEY DO NOY WEIGH THE CRAB LEGS. According to them, one tiny cluster is a half pound. And two tiny clusters is a 1lb. No. No it is not. Sometimes a half pound is couple clusters. Maybe it is one cluster if it’s big enough. It’s basically charging you for something you’re not getting. Everything else they give you such a huge portion of. The shrimp and muscles and everything else.
Now our waiter. The restaurant wasn’t busy, maybe 5-8 tables were being used. He barely acknowledged us. Never got refills on our drinks. The waiter acted like he didn’t want to be there. We asked for lemons 5 times. Yes. 5 times. We didn’t get them until after our meal. It took so long to get out food. But we didn’t mind. They were probably short staffed in the kitchen. It was noon so we just all had a nice time talking and catching up. When the meal arrived, they didn’t bring any silverware for the coleslaw that was ordered. When we asked that took another 6 minutes and he looked at us like we were crazy. Did he expect her to eat it with her hands? The manager was going to all his tables and filling up drinks. But a group of people were sat in front of us and were treated like his best friends. Working in food service before, i know how the job is and we were nothing but polite. When i got My boil it was so good. However there was no potatoes in it and of course the tiny 1/4lb of crab legs. (We brought a scale) I flagged someone down and said i didn’t get any potatoes. Don’t mention the crab legs cus every time you do they always say “one cluster is always a half pound.” I didn’t realize that every crab on planet earth was the same size. Anyways, 5 minutes later i was Brought a super hot bowl of dry potatoes. How are they dry unless they popped them in the microwave? My boil came to $60. It should have costed way less for the crab leg joke they put in front of me. But the flavors are all there. The potential is there
This place would be better if they just weighed their seafood. I want To try their king crab so bad but afraid of them not weighing those either and spending $100 on one leg.
