AWFUL experience with to-go order. As I was munching away on my cheese nachos in my car, I detected the dreaded hair once I got to the 'bottom layer'. It was a short black hair and resembled an eyelash or nose hair, right there embedded in the melted cheese of my nacho. Immediately losing my appetite and throwing up for a moment, I went inside to tell the manager and show him... He said he didn't believe me bcs he had seen me eating with the container open to and from the car! But as I explained to him and showed him, the hair was small and embedded in the cheese nacho and was on the bottom layer discovered AFTER eating all the top layer of nachos. He told me it's not his problem and he found it unbelievable and implied it was my fault that the hair found its way BENEATH a top layer of cheese nachos. I didn't want to make a scene so after asserting myself I accepted I was outta 12 bucks. I told him ok then if he doesn't want to refund my money but I could NOT finish it and threw it in the trash politely as I could. He coldly stared at me as I walked away and looked at me with suspicion. I asked for restroom due to nausea and he pointed at it and when I came out he said nothing. I was sick to my stomach. I truly believe the hair was already in the food and it was such a disappointment that he dealt with my complaint with little concern. The nachos were ok but mildly warm and not hot. I didn't even complain about that. Also had asked for jalapenos on top of nachos but got no courtesy ice water to go, and no napkins in bag. I didn't complain about that. But rude management and hair in food is unacceptable. That hair was marinated in the cheese. It didn't blow in from the wind. But one thing about it, I am 'gone with the wind'. I will never return. Hair in food happens, unfortunately. But to make a paying customer feel they are entitled bcs they want quality food and not getting with your staff as a manager to correct and prevent issues is unacceptable. I wasn't looking for a free...
Read moreJust ordered from here through uber eats for the first time. I am not impressed. I ordered shrimp fajitas and from any other place they come with flour tortillas, however the menu listing does not mention anything about tortillas so I ordered 4 additional orders of tortillas. Evidently none of the orders i placed came with tortillas since the 4 extra orders were all I got. I ordered a kids meal for the taco. The listing does not mention anything other than the taco and so when I recieved my order I never got the taco. I can only guess that for $7.99 you literally only get get the taco and no rice or beans with it. I personally think $8 for just a taco is absurd. The biggest issue i have is that when I called to let them know I did not recieve all of my order and to clarify a few things, the only thing the man could say is that he put it all in the bag. He kept saying that he put the taco in aluminum foil in the bag after I repeatedly told him it was not there. I instantly realized that they were not going to replace the taco or other missing items, much less send it to me as I paid to have my food delivered to begin with for a reason. I just hung up and I will not order here again. The food portions for the price are ridiculous. Especially when I didnt recieve all of my food. Better yet everything was cold when I did get it except for...
Read moreThis was our second time at Silvia’s and we’ll never go back (first time was delicious, which is why we chose it again). Three chicken burritos were ordered at our table. First bite into one of them and a large bone was almost choked on. They shrugged it off and said it’s a bone. Then my son was eating his and pulled out a big glob of skin. The server offered to make another, but no one was eating any more at that point. First they told us they’d take 50% off the skin meal. We said no, so they took 50% off all meals. Still cost us $36 for basically chips and salsa. The manager checked us out and didn’t even say anything. My husband mentioned that he should have apologized and he said he was too busy. He had just taken our money and said nothing, wouldn’t even make eye contact. We had not complained or made a scene. We have owned a restaurant and understand things happen, but it’s what happens after the fact that makes a difference. Very, very...
