I decided to stop by status dough before work to grab a variety of doughnuts for my coworkers, since it’s right before Christmas. I got there 10 minutes early. When it was 7 and I noticed the worker coming to unlock the door I then got out my car, and waited by the door. After swiftly unlocking the door she ran to the back. Just mentioning that door is very hard to open from the outside after being locked all night. It would have been kind of nice for her to have helped opened the door and greeted me. When I ordered at the counter I asked for a variety of 6 doughnuts. She said there were only two flavors available. I asked if I was here too early and if they open at 7. And she said yes they open and at 7. That’s it. So I asked how long would it be for the rest to be ready. And she said they will slowly start adding more flavors within 30 minutes of each other. So I was a bit confused and asked again, I thought yall open at 7? And she just nodded. So I just said okay and left. As leaving I heard her laughing at me. How unprofessional. This lady is laughing at a customer deciding to leave after an establishment didn’t have the products advertised upon opening?? I don’t understand why she was so unprofessional. This isn’t abnormal, someone not having enough time to wait 30 minutes for only another flavor when on their way to work. It’s a doughnut shop. Early morning traffic is the norm. Why open if you don’t have products to sell?? Absolutely terrible service. I love the doughnuts so I hate that now I don’t want to go back due to an unprofessional worker with a...

Not bad, but not great. My daughter and I have a weekly tradition of getting donuts on Saturday mornings. When I learned there was a new shop, I was hopeful to add them to the rotation. They don't open until 8am on the weekends, so that was the first letdown. So we made a special trip on Sunday to give them a try. My above average expectations were not met. The donuts tasted ok but were quite dry. We were there around 11am, so granted a few hours after open, but the donuts tasted like they were made several hours before. Or even a day old. And at $2-3 per item, you gotta be better than what I had. I won't write them off completely, but I'm not going to make much of an effort to go back soon.

PS. Went back a couple weeks ago, about the same time of day, and the donuts were better. Maybe it was a bad day the first time. Maybe business has picked up, so they are making more donuts after they open. Maybe they have worked out the kinks in their timing. I don't know. But I enjoyed the second visit much more...

Status Dough has the absolute best doughnuts in Knoxville, and we’re so delighted to have found them a few years ago. And now we’re even more loyal fans since learning last week that their Bearden location is now peanut-free and tree nut-free! This is so important to us, as we have a 7 y/o with life-threatening food allergies, and he’s never been able to enjoy them before now. That changed on Sunday, and he has declared the doughnuts as ā€œDECLIOUS!ā€ :) (We also appreciate that they have vegan options.) Each doughnut they offer, regular or specialty, is the right mix of light and fluffy or dense and chewy, and we’ve never found one we didn’t like. Each doughnut is a dessert in itself, as they are HUGE, and they are such a value for the price. We always say we’re only going to get one or two when we go in, but we can’t resist the deal of the half-dozen. And on top of all that, the staff are always approachable and nice. Thank you for offering such quality products that our whole...

Loved it. Nice little coffee shop, cool vibe. I had an excellent cortado - I love it when I actually see it on the menu! Then there are the wicked good doughnuts! I'm not a "doughnuts are life" kind of guy, yet I have to say they were really well done. The question I usually ask myself is, "would I make a trip to come here again" and the answer is a definite yes! I wish they just a little more table room, I'd like a little more space to crank open a laptop. But maybe that's the point. I mean I'm not sure I'd want me hanging out for half the day - I talk to strangers, I ask for things off menu, excuse me, can you change the music please...yea, probably better off with the smaller size:)

Crazy. Good. Doughnuts. Some things you should know: doughnuts are made fresh in small batches. Apple fritters are usually the last to go out, so it may be 7:30 am or so before everything's up. Selection changes daily. Hours are set, but they do SELL OUT and CLOSE EARLY if that happens. $21 per dozen, so this isn't an everyday stop, but the quality and taste are so worth it. Check their social accounts for flavors and daily details. Super friendly staff and easy to get to location.

We have been dying to try this place ever since we saw the YouTube video of Adam regusia. It didn't disappoint. The quaint little donut shop mixed with personable employees. Has to be west Knoxville best kept secret. I enjoyed having an apple fritter and chocolate glazed donuts. Along with a hot raspberry lavender latte and a honey cold brew. It was all top notch... We will definitely be making this our new favorite donut shop. I highly recommend that you do too.
