Tarik's North African — Restaurant in Knoxville

I placed a pick-up order from Tarik's as catering for a management meeting of 12 people, none of which had ever had Tarik's before. The order was ready extremely promptly, and I received a call the day of the order to clarify how I was serving it so that they could package the items in a convenient way for us. Really stellar and friendly service. They even helped me carry the food out to my car in the rain. Great folks.

BUT THE FOOD THO. It's all fantastic. It was everyone on the team's first time having Tarik's and I am still having people walk up to me well over a week later asking for the address, social, etc. Everyone was an instant fan and several people told me it was "some of the best food I have ever had" so that's a pretty great review.

It was also extremely cost effective. There was enough for every person to have food, dessert, salad, and take home leftovers for less money than we have spent at more generic corporate chains.

Terrific flavors. We had the Za'Atar Chicken, Beef Kofta and Lamb Tagine. Sometimes they must also have Lamb Chop. All of the food was very well prepared and quickly served. Every part of the dishes were perfectly cooked. Couscous is not my favorite "background" dish but this was very well matched with the seasonal vegetables sauce. The lamb was so tender you could barely pick it up with a fork. The chicken was a very large portion. The beef was full of bright flavor. I loved the tapenade as well. The Almond Baklava and Pistachio...

From the moment we walked in, the service at Tarik’s went above and beyond. The team radiated such positivity and warmth that it felt more like being welcomed by friends than dining out. The food was absolutely outstanding, some of the best North African cuisine I’ve ever had. Every dish was rich in flavor, fresh, and perfectly prepared.
