Late this evening we stopped by Knox Bros at 411 East Summit Hill. Like many of Knoxville’s hidden gems, it’s tucked into the corner of a gas station lot—easy to miss, but worth the stop. With quick access to the highway and just steps from Covenant Ballpark, it’s a perfect late-night option (open until 2 a.m.).
I ordered the mixed gyro with extra meat, while my fiancé went with the gyro over rice. Both dishes came with their signature “hot sauce.” So often we’re let down by food truck heat that barely registers—but this sauce had both flavor and fire, just enough to get your nose running without overpowering the meal. The meat was well seasoned, grilled fresh, and ready in about eight minutes (though calling ahead is an option).
His dish, pictured, came topped with fries and a generous drizzle of both white and hot sauce—each added to taste. My takeaway? For under $35 with tip, this is a 10/10 option I’d choose any day over a drive-thru window.
The owners were friendly and attentive, adding to the experience. Insider tip: ask for an extra serving of each sauce, mix them to your spice preference, and use the blend as a fry dip—you won’t regret it.
We’ll definitely be back, maybe after our next baseball game .

Read moreWell now, let me tell you something about Knox Bros. If you’re in the Knoxville area and you’re eager for something a little different but oh-so-good, you gotta check these guys out. They’re doing something special by bringing Halal food to our neck of the woods, and I gotta say, it’s a real treat.
First off, the folks that run it are as friendly as a neighbor who are always ready with a warm smile. And the food, well... that’s where it really shines. They’ve got Mediterranean dishes that’ll make your mouth water. Whether you’re in the mood for some crispy falafel, juicy chicken, or a savory gyro, they’ve got it all—both on rice or in a sandwich. Everything’s packed with flavor, and you can tell the quality’s top-notch. Ain’t no shortcuts here, just good, fresh ingredients cooked to perfection.
Now, you better believe the portions are more than generous. I always feel like I’m getting more than my money’s worth when I swing by.
The whole experience? It’s like getting that big city food truck vibe right here in Knoxville—reminds me of the kinda eats you’d find in NYC or Chicago, but with that southern hospitality twist. And let’s not forget, their prices are...
Read moreI’m so glad I found this place. Coming from the west coast, I was always spoiled with diverse authentic cuisines at really affordable prices. It was available to us 24/7, always good options anytime day or night. Good eateries here in Knox for sure but if I’m being honest, it is limited and pricey, and definitely no options late at night. When I seen that Knox Bros Halal truck was located at the Summit Hill Shell, I laughed and questioned if it was worth it. Boy was I surprised! Truck was immaculately clean and tidy. The owner was super friendly, personally and humble. It was kinda late at night so not busy. Chatted a bit and I could tell he took great pride in his cuisine. I got the mix plate over rice and salad. He had me try in front of him. Absolutely delicious! Even before I added his white and hot sauce. Rice was perfect, not dry and hard. Salad was fresh! I was all smiles! Finally, something delicious and healthy late at night and not the endless fast food junk! My new spot for sure! Oh I almost forgot! THE PRICES!! No price gauging for something delicious!!! Appreciate this man cuz it’s...
