Wingstop — Restaurant in Knoxville

What a different experience over our first experience.....and not in a good way. This visit was highlighted by an order taker more interested in her iPhone with a pink phone cover. She was completely inaudible, was clearly looking at it while we gave our order, and couldn't stand up straight but rathered lay across the counter backside pushed into the adjacent wall....all while not taking our order correctly. The kitchen area was seemingly in no one's control and was chaotic to say the least. The female we seemed to think was the manager was more interested in going outside and talking on the phone than attending to the business at hand.

As for the food this visit, it looked like it had been literally thrown into the container and subsequently thrown into a bag. Everything looked basically mixed together. Half of my wings were under-sauced in one sauce while the other half were drenched in sauce causing the wings to be soggy and unpalatable. The fries were overcooked and had enough salty seasoning on them to have seasoned an entire 50# bag of potatoes.

In the future, if the manager running the store Super Bowl Sunday isn't there, we're leaving immediately.

This visit cost the location. I removed stars that were there after our first visit.

What a phenomenal first time experience. After placing our to go order we were able to sit and watch the operation run. The male we thought to be the manager or possible franchise owner, took our order and was then on top of what was happening in store and keeping everyone on point. The staff looked well managed, organized and continued handle a very busy time seemingly with little effort.

We had wings, a chicken sandwich and two orders of fries. The wings had a perfect balance of crunch, flavor and sauce. Definitely an excellent chicken wings experience. The chicken sandwich was warm, moist, flavorful and had a crunchy coating. The fries were an excellent side. They were crunchy on the outside while soft and fluffy inside.

This experience definitely earned the five star rating we've given. We will and look forward to...

I'm not sure who the gentleman working Monday September 23 around 11:20pm I wish I had his name, he was the sweetest most patient and understanding. To give some context I was having a terrible night and in turn had a bad attitude and felt horrible, I came in after being unable to reach anyone at Wingstop to place my order so at this point I was irritated and had some tude while talking to him after first then I felt bad so I told him a little about my day which helped me vent (I was almost in tears throughout these in counters with him). He was so kind speaking with me and understanding, after I placed my order I went out to my car to wait and it starts to rain I'm not really paying attention to the time at this point I'm just happy I got my order in and was dealing with a horrific migraine, suddenly I hear this voice at my door it's him with my order in hand, I cannot express how much that small act was so I started crying after holding it in all evening and this gentleman stood there kindly and said he hoped my evening and things got better and please do not leave upset and driving, take a min to calm down so you can safely drive home. I again cannot express how much this in counter means to me and I hope he sees this review because I never got his name and I so appreciate him being such a kind, amazing soul.

Thank you Wingstop for your delicious food and amazing staff majority of the time! I choose y'all over anywhere else for my wings, fries and ranch.

Edit: I've been here several times and mostly enjoy this location, however I've waited over an hour for my food before after trying to contact the store place my order which took over 30 mins. Doesn't seem to be phone friendly with orders which kinda sucks and they need to work on their speed on food. So I did drop the service down. Hopefully something...

A long long time ago, when I was a cook for a living I worked at a lot of bars and restaurants from big chains to locally owned. I've cooked my share of wings in a variety of ways and had some really good ones over the years. I've got to say as not only a professional but as a life long chicken wing connoisseur, I can not think of any place I have had better wings than wingstop. Not only are the wings meaty and high quality but the sauces that I have tried so far are top of the line and cooked to perfection. I wouldn't gush like this if they were just ok. It's become a regular weekend treat I enjoy after a long hard week of 18+ hour days of working full time and going to school. I really appreciate Wingstop for fueling my brain and my game with outstanding wings and some of the best prices that the area has to offer. My orders are always ready on time, accurate and piping hot. The portions for veggies on the side are extremely generous and the service is immediate and courteous. I've become a huge fan of making this a regular part of my weekly routine. If this level of high praise doesn't convince you and you still arent sure, just go try them and sample the numerous flavors. I highly recommend the Korean BBQ, the Hickory BBQ and the original hot. If you like heat, the atomic wings are the first wings I've had that live up to the hype of the title. I was in a love hate relationship with my atomic wings. If it says Atomic, you should almost regret ordering them they are so hot. Definitely a masochistic delight if you're brave enough. Anyway, just go eat their wings and you'll understand why I'm going off about them so much. They...
