Yassin's Falafel House is a place I am so happy I went to during my trip out of town for work. I ordered the grilled chicken shawarma plate, which is served over rice and paired with a terrific sauce and baba ganoush. I also asked to get veggies with it. There was pita on top of the plate, which is what I put the chicken into with the garlicky white sauce. I also got the baklava because who can pass that up?

The cashier in the front was incredibly kind and gave me her recommendation with the baba ganoush, as it is not something I have tried before. I thought it was really good, especially since I am not exactly a hummus fan, and it is semi-similar. The veggies were cooked well, too.

This was some of the absolute BEST shawarma and baklava I have ever had in my life!! I will 100% come back any single time I pass through this area in the future, even if it is a bit out of my way. This is one of those places where you will find yourself eating the entire plate, even if it is too much food for you, because it tastes...

The work that Yassin puts into the community is reason enough to stop in.

The food here is amazing, and they can be flexible with substitutions. My go-to is the regular chicken plate with hummus instead of the baba ghanoush; I also like to add feta when I feel fancy. Sometimes, I get an extra order of just hummus since it's truly my favorite hummus ever. Their chicken sandwich is amazing, but I always need extra white garlic sauce to go with. I also really like their falafel (in sandwich form too), and I think it pairs best with their tahini. I have a friend who swears their tzatziki is the best, so if you need sauce, they will sauce you right.

I prefer ordering online because their website is wicked user-friendly, but make sure you pay attention to the times. I've ordered prior to 8 (over an hour before close) and just assumed that it was fine, then read the confirmation more closely and saw that it would be ordered/delivered the next day after opening. Not a them issue, I'm sure, but something to...

Yassin's is my go to for a great lunch or dinner. I have tried everything and all items are flavorful and delicious. Try the Gyro salad, it is piles high with tasty meat, and salad, love the pickles and green olives mixed in. Friendliest atmosphere in Knoxville.

Recent change in service at the Peters Road location. This is the 3rd time that my take out order has been significantly wrong. Tonight I order dinner for 3, I was missing all the additional items I added on to each meal, plus one of the main meals was not what I ordered. Quality of my items was good, just disappointed in the missing items I didn't get yet paid for, and the large tip I always add on the front end.

I am taking a break from Yassin's at Peters Rd for a while and will try some other Mediterranean Take outs. I will come back in a few months and give them another try, as they used to be my all time favorite. Still Love you, just need some time apart!

I have come back a couple times for takeout and it...

Yassin’s Falafel House is an absolute gem in Knoxville! The food here is incredibly delicious and authentic, with the falafel being some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Each bite bursts with flavor, and the freshness of the ingredients is evident. Beyond the amazing food, what truly sets this place apart is the owner, Yassin. He is a man of principle and integrity, standing up for what he believes in. His peaceful protests in support of Palestine, even leading to his arrest, demonstrate his commitment to justice and human rights. It’s inspiring to see someone who not only serves great food but also stands firm in his values and supports important causes. Eating here is more than just a meal; it’s supporting a local business that stands for something meaningful. Highly recommend visiting Yassin’s Falafel House – you won’t be disappointed!

Stopped here for dinner tonight to see what all the fuss was about. Overall, I enjoyed this spot. I got the chicken sandwich option, which was generously stuffed with chicken, french fries, and a few other items, including a very delicious sauce. I also got the opportunity to try a bite of my friend's chicken plate, which featured some delicious rice and a memorable babaganoush. We both got the "spicy" chicken option, which didn't really register as spicy at all - I'm guessing it's more catered to the local palate, which I can appreciate, although I was still a little disappointed. For the two of us, it was just north of $20, which was a good deal based on the quality and quantity. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone who was in the mood for shawarma-styled food - definitely worth checking out.

Okay - so this place is potentially my favorite place I consistently eat at in Knoxville. You will see so many photo's of the food - because it is actually gorgeous and filling (Again, the gyro with spicy tatziki cannot be beaten), but Inhave to say my favorite aspect is the environment. I love to bring anyone there because I feel like they would experience the welcoming connection I fell in love with my first time eating there. It is honestly one of the coolest things to see the world is coming to Yassin's! Currency from across the globe adorns the wall - such a joy to experience and I would absolutely recommend dining here! Update: Recently returned and it was still as delicious. The fries are not my favorite style, but my lunch today was just as delicious as when I wrote my original review!
