To begin I don't ever write reviews. Unless its outstanding service or horrible service. This was our fourth and last time. I will break down my original posts into smaller ones. And I will be spreading more reviews on this location. This is directed to the General Manager & District Manager of Chili's.
This happen's to be an experience that has led my husband and I to NEVER come back to this location. I would rather wait three year's to get back to Texas to eat at another Chili's. ( Our home, currently stationed up here for recruiting) Than eat at this location ever again.
Where to begin... We arrived at Chili's around 5:25-5:30. Keep in mind this is our now FOURTH time being at this location and every single time we have had a bad experience. But in hope we thought this time would be better. We had four adults, three minions with us. The hostess told us the wait would be approximately 30-35 minute wait. Surprised since it was their dinner rush and the lobby area was packed. We waited. . . . . . 35 minutes passed and we see there was 5 groups in front of us. Kiddo's were entertained, we were people watching and catching up. Didn't even realize that 35 minutes had passed. Next thing you know, we see a table of 7 being prepped for seating, my sister in law checks her phone and the app the hostess told us to download to monitor when its time to be seated said your table is now ready. So she goes up to the hostess, but then another party takes our table....informs us it's going to be another 5-10 minutes.... My sister in law comes back tell's us the news. My husband then goes up to the hostess ( Because our second ever experience with this location had a similiar story.) My husband asked the hostess is it going to be another 5 minutes? OR is it going to take longer? Because we kept being told it will be another five minutes.. When the app said it is now our turn. She said to our group, they are waiting for a table and she's not sure when a table will be ready... Upset, we now have three hangry little ones, and four hangry adults.
We waited.... The hostess offered to seat us in a booth and have one of the kiddos sit at the end of a table... Not going to happen. There is absolutely no way in hell we would all fit in that booth. Twenty minutes later we finally were seated. Ordered our drinks immediately as well with some appetizers. The hostess brought out some " Free chips & salsa" on the house. We waited about 5-7 minutes for our drinks. My husband and I ordered as our appetizer fried pickles ( which were pretty good in my opinion) My sister/brother in law ordered Texas Cheese fries. Ours came out before our meal. There's on the other hand, came out with the main course. My family's food came out how we ordered. BUT my husband waited over 30 minutes on a refill on his beer. I had a Dr. Pepper and we just shared that until it was empty...from there we waited another god knows how long for a refill. At one point I wanted to go to the bartender to just ask for a refill. My sister in law her order was messed up. She asked for additional dressing on the side for her pasta dish. It did not come out until we were putting our food in the to go boxes. . . Terrible. At this point it is now 8:00pm. Our son is crabby because it's 30 minutes shy of bed time. We have been in this restaurant for close to 3 hours, and he's been sitting in the same spot for ..you guessed it 3 hours. If a GM or DM would email me back that would be great. So I can finish my review and let them know the rest of...
Read moreWhen we stopped in there was 4 of the 10 to 12 tables in the bar area taken, we asked for a high top table which there was 2 of 3 available and were told that they didnt have any available and it would be a long wait. I pointed out to the hottest that 2 of the 3 were not occupied. She responded by telling that the waitress couldn't handel and more tables the 5 in the bar area was the most she could. I agreed to wait till we could be seated at the high top table. After about 5 minutes she told us our table was ready amd started to lead us to a regular table. I stopped her and restated we wanted a high top in the bar area. She again told us it would be a long wait. I again said thst would be fine. She reenter all my info and phone number. Over the next 5 minutes several other people walked in and sat down in the bar area. The host then turned to us and told us that she could seat us. I mentioned that no one had left and actually several other people sat at the bar that the waitress in the area helped and I didn't understand what changed or why she made us wait 5 more minutes for a table and no one had left, and that infact more people were over there. She seemly was at a loss to why and just asked which table we would like. Other then that, the food was great our server was friendly nothing special, most of the time she was in the back. What really seemed even more puzzling to me is as we sat there and ate, all but one table filled up with still just this one waitress that 30 minutes ago could handel more than 5 tables at once, was now helping double that and a full bar. I ordered the triple pick, with the sliders and fiesta egg rolls all was really good. My daughter ordered the brisket quesadilla, the brought out chicken ones, we had to have them table them back, they then did bring out the brisket ones and my daughter enjoyed them. My son ordered a sirloin which he thought was a little over done and had little flavor and his broccoli was hard and cold. Over all my food was good my son's not so goo, but didn't really expect much for a 16 dollar sirloin nor did they surprise. Other then that the rest of the food was really good. Service mediocre, our waitress provided a minimum level of service amd interaction performing what i would expect as the least service possible without being bad. Stopped by to take dri m ks, then our orders once to correct my daughter food then to providenus the bill. No real conversation or pleasantries. Just basic order taker type service. Overall nothing outsiding, just uhm...
Read moreI was hungry for Chili's so decided to get a late lunch there. It was just after the lunch rush. Several people were waiting to be seated. It took a few minutes and I was seated. I was given a menu to look over. My table was dirty from the previous customer it was never wiped down. I had to request my table to be wiped off because I was not having my food or drink sit on a dirty table...... Hello COVID is still out there! So eventually my server came and took my order. It was a simple order nothing complicated. Well nothing came as what I ordered. Things were missing that I had ordered and some completely wrong. I was never given silverware or napkins. Try eating cold and dry mashed potatoes with your fingers. The croutons were stale that were on the salad and barley any dressing came with it.... My steak was ok but a little tough, the potatoes were very dry and not very hot, my vegetable was not what I ordered, I didn't even finish my entire meal because it was not that good. The service was just ok. They were trying to play catch up after the lunch rush. As people were leaving absolutely no tables were being cleaned off. Only a few customers were left but more than half the tables had dirty dishes on them with no one cleaning them off. I'm not sure exactly what is going on at Chili's but it's definitely gone down hill since I was last there. The place was not very clean at all, the service was mediocre at best, the food was just ok, I understand that everywhere is short staff but that's no excuse for not doing your job! Restaurant work can be difficult if you get busy, but when taking the orders be sure to write everything down so the kitchen staff can read it and check for changes and confirm the order is correct. Being busy or short staff is no excuse for not cleaning up after each customer as they leave. Where is the manager during this? Why are they not helping out with things? Right now unless Chili's cleans up there act I will not be back ..... Cleanliness is a priority now in any restaurant! COVID is still out there and restaurant's need to keep everything clean or shut down because no one should be exposed to a dirty restaurant while enjoying a meal out! And the customer service needs to improve before I'll think about going back...
