**Gio's Bakery and Cafe** A Sweet Little Gem!** From the moment we walked in, the girls behind the counter greeted us with genuine warmth and patience. They were sweet, attentive, and truly accommodating, even during a busy morning rush. The coffee was rich, perfectly brewed, and exactly what we needed to start the day. Paired with their flaky, buttery pastries, every bite was fresh and delicious. The outdoor seating area is a lovely touch. It was cozy, shaded, and perfect for enjoying treats al fresco. Gio's is more than just a bakery; it’s a welcoming neighborhood spot with heart. Highly recommend! 🥐☕

The owner is friendly and really knows how to welcome his customers. It’s clean and spacious inside. Mind you, the pastries are good and so are their sandwiches, particularly their ham and cheese and turkey croissant. It’s right next to Jersey Mike’s and the prices are on the high side. But, you get what you pay for. **Update: Their paninis don’t look anything like what you see in the photo. There are no veggies. And, they’re bland and dry. The quality has gone down! I will not order paninis from here anymore. Why change something that was good?

Never had a cannoli or a cortado i think its called, so I thought eh when in Rome. Coffee and pastry was ready as soon as I sat down. Wait for breakfast was what 3 minutes? Inside is charming, a soft yellow with comfy chairs and nice soft ambiance music. Makes me feel like im at a cafe in Italy casually enjoying my morning. Definitely coming here on a slow morning to relax and read a book!

I had an unusually bad experience at Gio's La Canada today. After we ordered and were looking for a table noticed that several tables had yet to be bussed. Then when I received my BLTA the bacon was raw! It was like there was a blob of warm fat on a croissant. I ordinarily don't send food back but the bacon was uncooked. I asked if they could make the bacon crispy. When the sandwich finally came back out, the bacon was barely cooked. I went up to the counter and asked for a box so I could take my sandwich home and cook the bacon myself. The young women working there were very lackadaisical about it. I was given a box with no apologies. I took it home and threw the bacon in the air fryer over for 6 minutes on reheat and it was crispy perfection. Except the croissant was now soggy. Great local spot and fun to grab a snack or meal at during its open hours in the morning and after noon. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend the bfast baguette with veggies, the roasted vegetables panini, the vegetarian sandwich and the golden milk lattes. We always go for the complimentary salad not only for health but because the French salad dressing is great for the salad, whether you eat in on the side or you decide to insert into your sandwich (very good for the breakfast baguette).
