Pizza was great but it wasn’t what we ordered.
I went here with my boyfriend for their 40th anniversary celebration. I had never been here before but my boyfriend had, and he was SO excited for me to try their deep dish pizza. He says that it’s some of the best he’s ever had. We ordered ahead of time to pick up, and it was a two hour wait (which is fine!) We thought it would be busy because we knew they were having a sale on all of their large pizzas for the week.
We picked up our pizza when they said it would be done and it was, hot and ready to go. We paid and grabbed a table but when my boyfriend opened the box he realized that they made a thin crust pizza instead of a deep dish. He went to the counter and politely let them know that a mistake was made, and the only response from the manager was “well we sold out of deep dish.”
No apology, no refund, no “oh let me make that right.” So we ate our thin crust pizza and it was delicious. But my boyfriend was so disappointed that he didn’t get what he ordered and was shooed away when letting the employee know that. On top of that, we sat in a booth right across from the kitchen and watched the employees pull multiple deep dish pizzas out of the oven while we ate our dinner. So the “we sold out” was just a lie.
Also, why would you make a change to an order without notifying the customer? Why would you make the pizza knowing that it was wrong (if it wasn’t just a mistake)? Why didn’t the manager say anything when we were checking out? I think he knew that it was made incorrectly and was hoping we’d just walk out, and realize the mistake when we had gotten home and say “oh well.”
My boyfriend and i have both worked in customer service. We totally get when a kitchen gets slammed it’s all hands on deck and it gets chaotic, emotions are heightened. But I also know as a consumer I don’t want to pay for something that I didn’t ask for. ESPECIALLY after waiting two hours for our meal to be ready.
The thin crust pizza was delicious, i wish i could’ve tried the deep dish but I don’t know if I can get myself to try Corky’s again due to...
Read moreFirst of all, don't go here if you are on a budget. If you go to Corky's, you should probably get the pizza. It is very expensive, but you get what you pay for. There are not too many pizza places that have a better pizza. I recently had a BLT and it was pretty good and worth the value if you get it on special. The burgers, on the other hand, are very average and bland tasting. And no french fries is a BIG no no. Everyone loves fries! If you are looking for a quick burger, I would suggest a fast food place for a burger twice as good for half the price. It is a pricey restaurant for sure with price increases pretty much yearly, but you would expect that in a small town with not many other options for dining. With the high MN sales tax and a 20 percent expected tip, you end up paying your bill and then paying half of your bill again. They also do not accept credit cards which is a bummer and kind of amazing for this day and age. I know accepting credit cards adds to expenses, but then you would expect cheaper prices if you don't accept them. Kind of like Woodman's. I have nothing but praise, however, for the very friendly waitstaff and they made it a very comfortable dining experience. I would suggest making the trip across the bridge, though, for better options unless you want a...

There’s pizza... and then there’s Corky’s Pizza. Walking into Corky’s is like stepping into a cozy corner of pizza heaven—where the ovens are always hot, the dough is always fresh, and the staff greets you like family.
Let me just say it: the crust is divine. Golden, slightly charred on the edge, perfectly chewy in the middle—it’s the kind of crust that doesn’t get left behind on the plate. Corky’s doesn’t cut corners; they knead love and tradition into every pie.
Their classic pepperoni is a must—crisped to perfection, layered generously, and glistening over rich mozzarella and Corky’s signature tomato sauce that tastes like it was simmered all day just for you. But don’t stop there. The specialty pizzas? Out of this world. Try the “Taco Pizza” or the “Chicken Bacon Ranch” if you dare—each one piled high with toppings and flavor.
And the vibe? Warm, welcoming, and just a little nostalgic. Whether you’re grabbing a pie with friends, taking the family out, or picking up takeout for movie night, Corky’s hits the spot every single time.
Corky’s isn’t just serving pizza—they’re...
