It's been 3 years since I last ate at Kaddy's Kafe. The food quality is still great, the decor has been updated and renovated. It looks great.
Tables are clean and neat. Everything is organized. Front of the house brings a level of confidence that you're going to be eating good, clean food.
Service is fast and friendly. All the menu items are reasonably priced. The place was 80% at capacity and the staff was moving and friendly. They always had a smile, always checking in with "how'd everything tasting" or "can we top off your beverage."
Omelettes come with a choice of 3 different potatoes AND a choice of pancakes or toast.
Zach's Omelette is essentially a meat omelette. It was well seasoned, and the cheese was gooey. It was a good omelette.
Pancakes were as advertised: pancakes. Good with that nice fluffy margarine on top.
The Carnita's Benedicts were okay. The eggs were runny (great). The pork was chewy (taste is solid, but worth mentioning). It was a nice take on Eggs Benedict. Egg Benedict come with EITHER fruit or potatoes.
Portion sizes are on par for what you're getting nowadays. If you have a massive appetite, it's still reasonable. I left smiling.
Some breakfast restaurants will do pre-measured servings of ketchup and syrup. Not a Kaddy's. You get the standard assortment of ketchup, mustard, and Pleasoning. If you order cakes, you get a bottle of syrup.
Daily specials are offered for both breakfast and lunch. I've never eaten lunch here. I'm sure it's okay, but I'm sure it's solid. Kaddy's is one of those top 10 breakfast places in the La Crosse area. A hidden breakfast gem.
I've eaten everything on the breakfast menu, all the breakfast items are solid. Most of it is great.
If you're looking for a good Friday fish fry, Kaddy's has one. If you're not looking for a sit down experience, to-go food quality is fantastic.
It's a nice little family run business in a small town. It's worth a visit. Fair warning, it's super busy on...
Read moreThe food is good, but a little overpriced I would say. The service was lacking when we were there, most likely because they were quite busy. The cooks were not wearing any sort of gloves or hairnets, which was quite concerning. I also saw one of them taking selfies for snapchat when he was in the kitchen. I believe this is a family run business, which would account for the lax atmosphere. When we were there, one of the women working there was yelling at the cook in front of customers because he wouldn't answer his phone, which made for an awkward moment. It is very family friendly, which is a plus if you are looking for a place to...
Read moreWe came today for breakfast and it was wonderful! We hadn't been here before and have decided that we need to come back for lunch and make it a frequent stop. The portions were perfect. I had an omelet, toast, and a side of pumpkin pancakes. My husband had French toast with eggs and sausage. The food arrived quickly and was hot. The only downside was that we were seated by the window and there was a cold breeze coming from the vents that bounced off the window and made me feel chilly. But my husband also pointed out that I'm "always cold." Great service. We can't wait to...
