Muy Caliente Taco Broz llc — Restaurant in La Crosse

This review will be muy caliente. For those of you that don’t habla espanol, “muy caliente” is Spanish for “very caliente.” Why? Because I will be combining 2 reviews into 1. The first is my own experience, the 2nd is of a former co-worker, current friend. I actually share custody with her of a pristine Johnny Davis rookie card, so, needless to say, I trust her. So, I ordered some dishes, the pics show a chicken burrito, birria tacos, shrimp tacos and some nachos. They were all chef’s kiss. So good, way better than Chipotle, I was quite impressed. Nachos had excellent chip coverage. I’ve heard some restaurants have policies where 1 person is not allowed to eat all the loaded nachos, like you can’t take all the chips with the stuff on them and leave the chips without stuff for the other person. And these policies, I’m told, are strictly enforced. But these nachos are so evenly coated, there’s no danger of running afoul of rules. The burrito was filled perfectly and so flavorful. The picture of the grill brush is for attention. I don’t want any confusion, my word is my bond. It is simply to bring attention to the negative experience my aforementioned friend had. Her daughter got a bite of her food with grill brush bristles in it. Now, I appreciate your concern, but rest assured, the Johnny Davis rookie card was unharmed. My friend, let’s call her “Micky,” called the manager but never got a return call. Needless to say, she’s disgruntled and refuses to give any (I’m not sure how many there are) of the Taco Brothers “another penny” and reinforced when I attempted to persuade her to give them a 2nd chance, “over my dead body.” So I’m compromising and grading a 3, I would recommend, just look for brush bristles, salt shakers and other kitchen accessories. They committed to helping our school with a fundraiser in October 2022 for the following March 2023. Spoke in person and on the phone in October. They then ghosted me for months. 3 days before the event, because I called them out in FB, they finally responded saying they couldn't come because "weather in March can be unpredictable." Not sure why that changed from October, but they left us in a very bad position being the only food vendor for an all day event for hundreds of kids and families. Not even an apology.

Funny enough in talking to people and even FB posts... they are notorious for this! The cancellation is one thing, but if they had just responded more than 3 days before I could have maybe found someone. Not even an apology. Now, they delete all my FB posts about...

I can’t say enough good things about this place but I will keep it short. It took me a while to come here as I prefer burrito bowls and preferred Qdoba right across the street. But when I finally mustered up the courage to go try some authentic Mexican food I was not disappointed first off the place is so inviting and the vibes are awesome. I love the computer order system gives me time to customize my order without having the pressure from the worker. Lastly the food is by far the best Mexican food I’ve ever tried I usually get the steak burrito which is never short of at least 2 lbs of burrito for 13 bucks, you can’t beat that. But I’ve also tried other things and have never been disappointed. Can’t say enough good things about this place you will not regret...
