Ding Tea — Restaurant in La Mirada

Just went in today. I never been here before. Thought it was cool to try out. Asked what the workers recommend, they let me try a sample of a drink. I still don’t really know what it was. When an order was called I thought it was mine, turns out it was someone who came after me, drink. I had no idea, but literally grabbed the drink, put the straw in slowly. Even took a picture of the drink. And mid drinking the drink someone screamed out that’s not your drink, that’s his!! I said I’m sorry I didn’t know, I’ve never been here before. I got told if I still wanted my drink or I want to pay for the drink I was drinking, so embarrassed by the situation I said okay I’ll pay for the drink. I stand in line and they made the guys drink again very fast. I told the guy I’m so sorry I didn’t know. I paid for the drink and waited for the rest of my food order. And as I’m waiting I felt so awkward and I’m just getting stared down by this girl. Even as I leave I’m getting stared down. Never coming back here again. What I thought would be fun and cute turned out to be really weird and made me feel bad like if I was trash for drinking a drink I didn’t know wasn’t mine. I’ve worked in the food industry for years and that is not the way I would have handled that at all. Two or three of them were just talking about the situation looking at me really crazy. Don’t wanna come back here and I really like boba so I’m just gonna continue to go to La habra to boba loca even tho that’s farther away. Rather be treated okay vs mad dogged for paying for a drink. This place actually has something against me! The third time I ordered something, and they forgot a topping or did not do the sweetness level I requested. It actually ruins someone's day if you're looking forward to a drink and they just completely ignore your order. I had ordered a Passionfruit black tea with boba and lychee, 0% sugar but they forgot to add the boba and its at 100% sweetness. I had to rip open the top and add more black tea from my home to make it less sweet because I have diabetic issues. The label with the order has just passion fruit tea with lychee and no sugar adjustment either. The last time I got a signature milk tea with boba they also forgot to add the boba, so I had them remake it by driving all the way back because why would I order a boba drink without boba. The employees there always talk and laugh while making drinks and it's been getting my attention watching them make my drink because shouldn't you be paying attention to what drink you're making? The reason why the employees always mess up my orders is because they're not paying attention to what they're making. I'm not a strict person at all, but if you're working on shift as a barista then the least you can do is correctly make sure you're making the right drink for your customer. I love ding tea the menu is so good but this certain employee needs to chill. I went in around 1:15pm-1:35pm the worker at that time was rude and seemed like she hated working there or it was her first job ever. No greeting no nothing had the rudest looking face im not sure what I did wrong to her she didn’t say hi she didn’t tell me the total she didn’t call out my drink when it was ready. right as I left a group of 3 white guys and one girl came and she was acting normal she greeted them warmly as by soon as they came in this cashier also kept on asking me if I wanted to buy more items and I kept saying no that’ll be all just this one drink like she wanted a bigger total for the tip or something. Not sure if she was acting nicer bc they were white or if she just hated how I looked tbh idk what to do might just have to not come anymore which is a shame bc I love the quality of the drinks and food. If she gave good service I would’ve tipped well and asked for her manager to compliment the drinks and service tell the manager to give her a raise but no .
