Habit Burger & Grill — Restaurant in La Mirada

Didn't really try The Habit until it moved into the neighborhood. The burgers are cooked to order and all of the condiments are crisp and fresh. Tonight I noticed they had hatch Chiles as an option for a chicken salad. I asked after I ordered if they could put some on my burger. First of all, super nice that they did that at no charge and second, it was delicious.

Their tempura green beans cannot be best. They are super moist and have the perfect amount of salt on the tempura. The two juices they have are also very good: strawberry limeade and a peach puree with basil and ginger is good too.

They also have a condiment bar with jalapeños, peppericcinis, and the yellow wax peppers as well as variety of hot sauces.

Overall, this place can't be beat if you want more than a fast food burger. They also have an ahi sandwich that my ordered in the past, but not sure if they will just sear it to get the optimal flavor.

Tasteful and interesting Burger options ( made with green leaf lettuce..just like the menu photos), modern and pleasantly decorated interior, little wait for service or food. Tempura Green Beans were perfectly cooked..no need for a dip. Condiments island offers 3 kinds of pickled peppers, plus ketchup of course. Facility was clean all around and not freezing cold from overdone AC. Reasonably priced food for the quality.. paid less than half of what it cost me at P. pies for a similar but rather tasteless meal. Will certainly be back for more new Burger tastes. I enjoyed the seasonal Jalapeno Char burger this stop .. check it out!!🌶️ My vanilla shake was a nice touch.. they offer added whip cream if you like.

I grew up with the original Habit in Santa Barbara. For some reason I think this location is not using fresh meat but some kinda frozen patty. It just is not tasting like the classic from the SB location. Palos Verde location is super nice and tastes right but someone somewhere is cutting some corners here. The charbroil flavor is missing at this location. Hope they clean up the flavors to really taste like the classic char. But still better then most! So! Great ranch dressing and half and half fries onion rings are the best still. And ceaser salad is still awesome. Worth the trip for...
