I visited your restaurant with my family for dinner tonight.
But the server showed us very inappropriate behavior. I will explain the details below.
We ordered the following items: Strawberry banana french toast( with a sunny side up egg, my favorite) Veggie(?) Omelette Fisherman's Platter Spicy chicken ranch sandwich w/ fries.
First, I arrived at the restaurant with my wife and son, and we sat at a table where there was only silverware for two people. Even until our first order arrived, the third silverware was not placed at our table, so I stood up and found silverware myself on another empty table. (Isn't it basic knowledge that servers serve and not the customers?)
We asked for two hot waters and an ice water, but were displeased to find one of the hot water cups to be unclean with orange goo on the interior side of the cup. We mentioned it to the server, but the server just said “ill get you another one” without even apologizing. From there we were starting to get upset and began to notice her rude behavior. However, we really didn't want to mess up our family dinner, so we said "thank you" and waited patiently.
After our first meal (the omelette) was served, we received a plate of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes, which we did not order. We asked the server if this was meant for another table and she stated that it was ours and part of the omelette combo. However the egg was not sunny side up (my favorite). We mentioned this to her, but AGAIN, with a very displeased face, she said "I'll get you another one" without apologizing AGAIN.
Then, my wife's meal, the Fisherman's Platter, arrived, and the server said absolutely NOTHING, and put the dish out waiting for my wife to take it. My wife, who had no other choice but to take it from her hand and put it on the table herself, was beginning to get very annoyed with the server's attitude and behavior towards us. The server then just left without saying ANY word. One minute later, after debating in my head whether or not I would confront her for her inappropriate behavior towards a customer, I decided to go discuss the issue with her. However, she started making excuses for herself instead of apologizing and attempting to alleviate the situation.
I then stated that I wished to speak to/call her manager, so she handed me the store business card. But the manager wasn't even there so there was no point. I asked again to let me speak to the manager, and she replied, "Ok" and then proceeded to serve other customers for the next 5+ minutes, making me stand there while my wife and son just sat at the table not being able to eat their food because of the whole situation. After the long wait, I told her simply, "I'm still waiting, can I talk to the manager???" and she then began to, in front of a table of other customers, yell something like "You're verbally abusing me just because I didn't serve you a piece of silverware...!!!" It was evident that she was trying to play like a victim in front of the other customers, as well as my family, so I decided to write everything down (the time which this occurred, her name, and your name). I finally just stated "I'm going to talk to the manager. Let me pay for my meal (which we hardly even touched) and leave." But as I said this, she continuously made excuses for herself as I stated that I wanted to leave more than 3 times. I was finally able to pay for my meal (my son's meal completely untouched) and left....

Initially when I ordered, the estimated wait time was ten minutes, when I went to pick up, it was confirmed to me by the waiter they were still waiting and it would be ready shortly, but 45 minutes later and everyone else had been taken care of, even the customers AFTER me, so after the third time asking, now they want me to show them my online order, so they can get it started, not only to find that my order was set aside 5 minutes before I got there, and to add insult to my intelligence, the very waiter who confirmed TWICE to me they were trying to find my order, he changes his story telling me he had called out my order e few times....REALLY? I live two minutes from this place and I've ALWAYS loved coming in to the restaurant to eat, but my life experience was less than zero, and I will GLADLY go out of my city to another IHOP to dine in, and I'm second guessing if I'll do the online thing again.. we'll see, but very sadly disappointed, cuz I LOVE the fact I'm only two minutes from my...
Read moreThis was a weird experience. For the first time a waitress doesn't talk. Only the basics while take our order. When she gave us our food she just put it on the table without a word turned around and left. Didn't once asked how we were doing. When she brought our bill she just placed it on the table. So I was talking with my mom and I had the credit card with the bill in between my arms on the table. She reached in between them and took it. She did ask if we needed a box before reaching for the bill. I thought that was weird. Took the bill and charged me. Brought back the recipe so I can sign it. And again said nothing. It was an awkward waitress. My first and last time ever coming. No i didn't tip her. There was no connection, I felt like if I was asking for food and it was given to me out of pity. Awful...
