Nǐ hǎo Foodies,
It's Obviously an Introverted Hump Day and while I was just Laying here Watching TV, Waiting for my Soulmate to Drop through the Ceiling, my Stomach started to Unmercifully and Vehemently Demonstrate the Mating Call of a Baleen Whale. Scared my Rotties to Death! They still won't come out from under the Bed! 😆
While Painstakingly trying to Peel Myself off of the Couch, I Quickly Remembered that I Suffer from that Chinese Disease called 'Yung no mo'. Oh, it's gotta be a Lucky Fortune Day!
I kept Hearing… 'The Power of Chrysler Compels You'! The Power of Chrysler Compels You! Naturally I Obeyed!
While Blasting Aerosmith's New Chinese Hit Single..'Wok this way', and with Unbridled Enthusiasm, I put the Pedal to the Metal and Rushed to The Lucky Fortune Restaurant in my Hemi Powered Chrysler 300.
That's Right! We have Authentic Chinese Food, Conveniently Located on William Foss Rd, right here in LaPine.
Well, well, well, to put it Mildly, the Menu was Extensive. So many Great Choy-ces!
I Eagerly began my Hump Day Feast with the Spring Roll Appetizer because these Golden Cylindrical-Shaped Rolls are a 'Must-Have' Dish During Spring Festivals in China. It is Believed that they will Attract Wealth and Prosperity..they kinda look like Gold Bars too.
As Gold is Prized for its Beauty, the Spring Rolls were the Perfect Combination of Delicate, Crispy and Savory. Although I Loved the Textural Jumble of the Flavorsome Veggies and Crispy Golden Wrapper, the Red Dipping Sauce Totally Stole the Show.
I then Wonton-ly Ordered the "Lovers Chicken", because Ironically, I'm Single. The General Tso Chicken was Saucy, Sweet, Tangy, and Spicy. The Lemon Chicken was Hot, Sweet and Sticky. Lordy! Sweet, Sour, Tangy, Spicy, and Savory Flavors all Found in One Dish! I felt like a Free Spirited Seagal at a Provisional Picnic!
I even Received Two Tasty Hugs from a Modest Bowl of Spicy, Sweet & Sour Soup and a Sizable Bowl of 'Chicken Fried Rice'.
Although all the Food was Amazing, I do find it Hard to Believe that a Chicken Fried the Rice! 🤣
I Gratefully Experienced Wonderful Urbane Service with Clean & Pleasant Ambiance.
All in all, I felt as content as a Dan-Da-Bear could! 🐼
If it's Great, Authentic Chinese Food you Want, stop on by The Lucky Fortune Restaurant! It will Wok your World!

Read moreNew to the area, neighbors all said "For great Chinese food go to the Lucky Fortune restaurant". So we went there, its a small restaurant, family run - Well lit & clean. OK, my fiance' and I are sort of creatures of habit. So we ordered what we generally order everywhere else. Tea, Crab won tons, egg rolls, soup, chow mein, white rice, and then Mongolian beef - and My date ordered broccoli beef (Out of character). We were NOT prepared. First, the amount of food that came to our table was beyond what we expected nor are used to. The amount of meat they give you was impressive to say the least. Normally, you get more veggies than meat. It was the reverse. The number of won tons/crab puffs, and egg rolls was more than we are used to as well. The food - all was DELICIOUS. The server, and her helpers were very friendly also. We paid $60 for the entire thing. Back home, the same meal would have been about $100, and not nearly as much left overs as we took home. Seriously, lasted us a few days! Although, we are new to La Pine - we are foodies. We highly recommend this restaurant. GREAT food, and a GREAT value for your wallet. We could have fed 3 friends in addition to ourselves, had we brought them with us. We still are amazed at the quantity & quality of the food. We will becoming...
Read moreI am so disappointed 😩 I was extremely hopeful because I’ve read reviews and looked at pictures. I’m sure it’s because they’re closed tomorrow and I just got a bunch of old food from the weekend but everything is so old and so dry. The crab puffs are brown all the way through the middle and crumbling apart noodles are dry and broccoli Beef is cold and smooshy. Pork fried rice is dried up like someone microwaved it for 10 minutes too long and everything is so salty. And I like salt. The only thing that was hot was the white rice which was piping hot and everything else was lukewarm or cold. They didn’t have my order ready when I got there (not an issue) but that just means it’s not like my order was sitting there and I only live five minutes away. I just called them four times and now the phone is shut off but they’re not even supposed to close for two hours. I wanted to give them the opportunity to fix the issue, even if it wouldn’t be tonight but apparently that...
