I must say that our recent experience at Ledo's Pizza in LaPlata, MD was nothing short of a disappointment. My wife and I had been looking forward to a nice night no cooking, and we made the unfortunate decision to order from Ledo's. First and foremost, the prices were exorbitant for the quality of food we received. We shelled out a whopping $47.00 for two calzones and a large Hawaiian pizza, and it felt like daylight robbery. The calzone, in particular, left much to be desired. The bread was dry and tasted like it had been sitting around for ages, and the sauce was utterly plain and uninspiring. As for the pizza, it was a disgrace to the very concept of pizza. The crust was paper-thin, like a sad excuse for a flour tortilla, and there was hardly any cheese to speak of. To make matters worse, when we ordered a Hawaiian pizza, we expected pineapple on every slice, as that's a fundamental part of a Hawaiian pizza. However, it seems Ledo's missed the memo because about one-third of the pizza slices had no pineapple whatsoever. Being ripped off once is unfortunate, but being taken advantage of twice is something we will not allow. Our hard-earned money should be spent on enjoyable dining experiences, and Ledo's Pizza in LaPlata, MD, certainly did not deliver on that front. We won't be returning to this establishment, and we strongly advise others to steer clear unless they want to waste their money on...
Read moreI LOVE Ledos, however, today, this upset me. I ordered the vegetarian large but asked for only half veggie and the other half cheese for my children. I added two other veggies, broccoli and olives, I wanted a real veggie pizza and not just peppers, onions, and mushrooms, which I later found out they were canned... gross!! No problem they said when placing my order. Ok, great! I go to pick up my order and get home ready to grub...my pizza is COMPLETELY FILLED with veggies on the one half to the point of the pizza dough not even being cooked underneath. I was so hungry and looking forward to enjoying it but instead, I got very upset and trashed it. That was VERY unacceptable and I'm not even sure why the person making the pizza thought it was ok. Yes, I wanted a veggie pizza but it was no longer a pizza when there was nothing on it but veggies and raw dough. Ledos, you must do better. That was...
Read moreI visited Ledo for lunch with my baby niece and had an unpleasant experience. I ordered the lunch special pizza, but noticed that patrons who ordered after me were served their food first. It took 30 minutes for my pizza to arrive, which was frustrating.
After eating, while waiting for the bill, I noticed a black spot in the Parmesan cheese jar. I shook the jar to get a better look and realized it was a gnat. When I brought this to the manager's attention, he opened the lid, let the gnat out, and then placed the jar back on the counter without addressing the contamination. He offered to charge me half price for the meal, but that didnât feel like an appropriate response given the situation.
This experience left me concerned about the cleanliness and handling practices at this establishment. I would recommend extreme caution if you choose...
