The food here is authentic and very good. Have ordered takeout a few times and have never been disappointed in the quality of the food. If you like authentic Mexican food you won't be disappointed. I've ordered the burrito multiple times with steak, chicken and churizzo and highly recommend. The chicken quesadilla is also a winner and the portion sizes of the food won't leave you hungry. However, if you want queso it's one item you want find on the menu. ¯\(ツ)/¯
There is also the typical selection of beverages including bottled Jarittos soda in multiple flavors. If ordering for takeout make sure to ask for (stress) extra red or green salsa with your order. The food comes in generous portions, but the salsa seems to be tightly rationed. For the burrito you normally will get two of the small (maybe 1.5 oz.) cups, so I'd recommend asking for 3 or more.
I haven't dined in, but the dining area seems clean and the tables/booths are large enough to comfortably seat families and groups. Daytime and evenings during the week seem to be the least busy with weekend evenings being busier as would be typical.
The owner is friendly, helpful and willing to answer your questions. Overall this is a nice place and the food is more than worth making the...
Read moreThe reason id give this place a five star is because you’d judge a book by its cover. El cantarito opened up and it’s bigger and the food taste ideally good until you go back there and realize that the service is terrible. No one is managing the place and it seems they only cater to certain crowds if you pay attention well enough. The same day I said el cantarito was the new best spot I got food poisoning from ordering the taco trip with different meats and multiple people work there but HERE! This place you will get consistency and it’s usually one person or working here. The decor inside could be nicer sure and maybe music with your food but all I’m looking for is good authentic Mexican food and service that’s consistent. El cantarito margaritas unless asked for premium which is a real margarita are the wine based not real margaritas and neither is the food. You can tell it’s not home cooked or not nearly as fresh! This place is closer to authentic ans the food is great. The pricing of course could be lower it seems alittle high but it depends on what your use to and I’ll pay extra knowing my food is being kindly catered too and freshly made. Don’t over look this place! It’s lowkey the best Mexican spot around ❤️ I’ve dined and...
Read moreWent today for dinner. The menu was very small. My wife and I ordered tacos but it is A La carte, so I ordered rice and beans. We also ordered chips and guacamole. The drinks were only by plastic bottle or glass bottle. The service was extremely slow. While waiting for our drinks, another customer order a quesadilla, after I ordered my drinks but got the quesadilla before I got my drink. While waiting for everything, the chair I was sitting in broke and I fell on the floor (my wife thought it was hilarious). Got an apology and that’s it. We went to pay and leave, we had a total of 6 tacos, chips and guac, rice and beans, 2 glass bottle coke and 2 plastic diet cokes and when we went to pay, they told us it was $53 and some change. When asked what we were being charged for, we were told “I don’t know, the chef told the price”. The guacamole was amazing, the pork tacos were very salty but the chips and salsa were decent…I...
