Outstanding! First of all the service, Victor was spot on! We were greeted, seated and My-my-my the Menu didn’t disappoint! We had the fried Avocado slices as our appetizer, as we wanted to try something different and it was delicious.
On to our entrees…
I ordered the NOLA Shrimp and Grits ….it was by far the best I have ever had. I’m a Grits snob and lemme tellya, these are it! Perfectly cooked, perfectly spiced ( not too much), the Shrimp was cooked perfectly along with the bacon and green onion to top it off. Two slices of seasoned toasted french bread were alongside.
Next was the Boudin stuffed Pork Chops ( there were two of them!) both served atop boudin rice. red beans n rice & okra were chosen as the two sides. Two slices of seasoned buttered french bread were alongside this dinner as well. There was nothing left on the plate!!!! He left Nothing, i mean Nothing!
We’re so happy we chose to eat here! We will definitely return when in town. We hope that you do as well! The Menu covers everyone… i assure you.
someone down on their luck stopped in and we overheard him ask for a cup of water. Victor told him to hang on and quickly returned with a bag with something to eat inside. This business is obviously not just about making money but also about looking out for people.
Thank you Victor! Thank you to the staff of New Orleans Seafood Kitchen for Outstanding Service, an Outstanding Meal and for giving to...
Read moreLet me say, RARELY do I waste my time reviewing any restaurant that I eat at but this was so awful that I felt inspired... I remember when Laporte had some awesome cajun food, so when I saw this highly rated place on google I was so excited that I packed the wife up and headed over. I wish I hadn't. We started with the Seafood Flameado, which considering what it is, was pretty bland but by far the most edible thing we ordered. Then came the entrees... YUCK! MY wife had the blackened redfish with red beans and rice and fried okra, and I had the étouffée sampler which came with white and dirty rice. This was a disgrace to any creole food I've eaten: ever. The étouffée tasted like a can of Cambell's tomato soup mixed with the worst dirty rice I'e ever tasted. The white rice had bits of uncooked grains, so it was crunchy. My wife complained about watery red beans and rice and even the okra (yes, somehow) the okra was mediocre at best. The red fish was salty disgusting with no spice to it at all and tasted VERY "fishy". HOW???!!! An entire meal was just bad. I want my damn money back. I won't bother with the service, but I shouldn't have to ask for everything I need to eat a meal in a restaurant.... Absolutely no way this place...
