I had been wanting to try this place out for a while now. Finally stopped in, ordered a michelada with modelo, the gator bites and the etouffe sampler with both crawfish and shrimp etouffes. The michelada was really good. Not super spicy but definitely had a lot of flavor. I had to order another one. The alligator bites surprisingly came with onion rings and im glad they did. They were cooked perfectly. Nice n crunchy and very flavorful with the dipping sauces. The alligator bites were a little small but they were very good pieces of meat. They weren’t over breaded at all and they were also cooked very well. I definitely recommend them. The crawfish and shrimp etouffes were outstanding! No exaggeration! I recommend getting the sampler to try both but if u are sensitive to spicy I recommend going with the shrimp etouffe. Both were very flavorful but the crawfish etouffe has a little extra kick because it comes with jambalaya rice instead of white rice. Very good and very flavorful! I will definitely be coming back! P.S. excuse the dirty fingernails in my pic. I had just gotten off of work and was hungry lol

"If I have a craving for seafood, do I have shellfish desires? - Unknown 🦐🦞🦀 My recent visit to this restaurant was a rewarding and inviting experience. As a high recommendation, the Catfish Orleans stole the show for me. The zesty yet perfectly flavored spices along with the red beans and rice is indicative of the namesake. The robust, plus the bonus of a good variety of ingredients, was satisfying and amazing. The boudin pork chops dish was delicious, but my critique would have to center around the portion sizes that were underwhelming. 🍤 John was attentive and professional & got my orders in and out quickly as possible. 👍 In conclusion, New Orleans Seafood Kitchen offers a balance of wonderfully crafted seafood at affordable prices with prompt, friendly customer service. I would definitely recommend it to any seafood foodies looking for an excuse to indulge in these offerings because I will definitely return. 🦞🦐🦀"

When I saw the line of cars outside, I got excited because I thought they were for the restaurant. After walking in there were 2 tables with patrons. I took a chance and ordered my food thinking how bad it could be. What a disappointment! New Orleans is known for two things in the food world Gumbo and oversized portions of whatever it is you order. The only thing oversized here was my food cost. The person who took my ordered charged me for a shrimp dish when I told them I was allergic to shell fish. And I never knew you could make Cesar salad with iceberg lettuce. My ranch dressing taste like a store brand and the fettuccini didn't even taste as good as the one I make at home. I've only given a 1 star rating one other time to a place, but this one I won't soon forget.

Outstanding! First of all the service, Victor was spot on! We were greeted, seated and My-my-my the Menu didn’t disappoint! We had the fried Avocado slices as our appetizer, as we wanted to try something different and it was delicious.

On to our entrees…

I ordered the NOLA Shrimp and Grits ….it was by far the best I have ever had. I’m a Grits snob and lemme tellya, these are it! Perfectly cooked, perfectly spiced ( not too much), the Shrimp was cooked perfectly along with the bacon and green onion to top it off. Two slices of seasoned toasted french bread were alongside.

Next was the Boudin stuffed Pork Chops ( there were two of them!) both served atop boudin rice. red beans n rice & okra were chosen as the two sides. Two slices of seasoned buttered french bread were alongside this dinner as well. There was nothing left on the plate!!!! He left Nothing, i mean Nothing!

We’re so happy we chose to eat here! We will definitely return when in town. We hope that you do as well! The Menu covers everyone… i assure you.

someone down on their luck stopped in and we overheard him ask for a cup of water. Victor told him to hang on and quickly returned with a bag with something to eat inside. This business is obviously not just about making money but also about looking out for people.

Thank you Victor! Thank you to the staff of New Orleans Seafood Kitchen for Outstanding Service, an Outstanding Meal and for giving to...

Let me say, RARELY do I waste my time reviewing any restaurant that I eat at but this was so awful that I felt inspired... I remember when Laporte had some awesome cajun food, so when I saw this highly rated place on google I was so excited that I packed the wife up and headed over. I wish I hadn't. We started with the Seafood Flameado, which considering what it is, was pretty bland but by far the most edible thing we ordered. Then came the entrees... YUCK! MY wife had the blackened redfish with red beans and rice and fried okra, and I had the étouffée sampler which came with white and dirty rice. This was a disgrace to any creole food I've eaten: ever. The étouffée tasted like a can of Cambell's tomato soup mixed with the worst dirty rice I'e ever tasted. The white rice had bits of uncooked grains, so it was crunchy. My wife complained about watery red beans and rice and even the okra (yes, somehow) the okra was mediocre at best. The red fish was salty disgusting with no spice to it at all and tasted VERY "fishy". HOW???!!! An entire meal was just bad. I want my damn money back. I won't bother with the service, but I shouldn't have to ask for everything I need to eat a meal in a restaurant.... Absolutely no way this place...

First and foremost we would really like to appreciate all the four and five star reviews that y'all have given us from y'all's experience from coming into our restaurant. As for the three stars and under, we ask that y'all either call or come in again and give us another chance to make things better with y'all so we can better correct the issue so we can get to our ultimate goal to be a popular thriving restaurant in the area and provide the best customer service that we can. We pride ourselves on our homemade food, are prices and our customer service to our customers. We very much appreciate all of y'all's business and we look forward to serving you all again soon, or for your first time. Our biggest special promotion that we have weekly is on Sundays and if you go to a church service and bring the brochure that churches give you whenever you go in, we can give you 20% off your entire purchase for your entire family as long as each person brings in their own brochure from the church service of that day. Sincerely, Michael, you're most dedicated server. Thank you and we look forward to seeing...
