El Ranchero Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in La Porte

I just got off the phone with the owner's daughter Angelica or something like that. About a week ago I ordered the #1 combination plate Especial Mexican dinner to go. I enjoyed the meal so much I ordered the same meal tonight , the plate comes with 2 enchiladas, rice and beans in one plate and the 2nd plate has beef taco, guacamole, chili con queso tostada. I asked my adult son to pick up the dinner for me, since my car is in repair shop. He did and dropped it off with me. He left to go home. When i took out my dinner from the bag i discovered the 2nd plate was missing which is called the cold plate that has beef taco, guacamole and chili con queso. I was very disapponted to say the least. I decided to call and let them know that they had messed up on my order and i was missing part of my ordered. I was speaking to the same person who had taken my order. He asked me if i could return and pick ut up. I let him know i had no available transportation. I then asked him how were they going to make this right. That's when the Owners Daughter got on the phone. She was not apologetic at all and she stated that next time i visited their restaurant she would make the order right no charge. That's when i asked for her name and that's when she let me know she was the Owner's Daughter . So at that point I said "So next time i come in to the restaurant i just have to let the waitress know that the Owners daughter had approved a no charge on the meal." That's when the Owner's Daughter made it clear that only the cold plate would be no charge. Well they can keep their cold plate. I'm a long time LaPorte resident and I promise I will let all my family and all my neighbors know how they messed up on my Over Priced #1 Especial Mexican dinner , ruined my meal and how The Owners daughter showed me how unappreciative they are of my business. I will never spend another penny there. I WILL SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE I...

My fiancé and I stopped in on a Monday morning for breakfast. The food was good, but our entire experience was unfortunately overshadowed by how we were treated. I wasn’t feeling well after we sat down, so I asked my fiancé if he could walk me to the truck while I waited. He left his wallet, phone, and sunglasses at the table and told the waitress at the register that he’d be right back after helping me outside. He even pointed to the table, and she nodded in acknowledgment.

We had parked directly in front of the restaurant, so he started the truck for me. Within moments, we were chased down by a staff member who began yelling and accusing us of trying to dine and dash. My fiancé explained what was going on and went straight back inside, but the employee he spoke to denied ever talking to him. Three other customers saw what happened and actually spoke up on his behalf, but despite that, he was kicked out.

This is a restaurant my fiancé and his family have been going to for decades. It was my first time there, and he was genuinely excited to share it with me. Now the whole experience is completely soured. We understand that misunderstandings can happen, but this situation was handled so poorly. We were treated with suspicion instead of basic respect, and it left a really bad taste.

Really disappointed about last night going to dinner me and husband decided to have dinner went inside side in front was full only one big table was available I didn't like it so we ask if we can seat in the middle by the restroom one of the waitress said said nope is closed so I wanted to seat in the new spot this is a second time the we wanted to seat in the new spot so she said is closed she ask us I have a table in the corner on the left side I told my husband really in the corner I said no so I decided to seat in the big table so we saw people going into the new spot in the other side where the bathrooms are I was she said I was close why people seating in there they didn't even say anything so we ask this guy the was cleaning the tables hey man what do we need to do to seat in the new spot he said u can seat anywhere is always open cuz the always have a sign said is closed but we see people going there except us that was really disappointed and sad those waitresses they need to be trained to be polite to people and don't make those ugly faces like we are a bother to serves us and to tell us we can seat anywhere thank u I hope y'all can change those attitudes and the people the work for y'all have a nice day sir and thank u for your service food is delicious but your employees...
