I ordered from here for my son's open house without ever having eaten there before......and I was not disappointed!!!! The bbq pork is sooooo good, flavorful, and tender!!! The smoky was a little hotter than I was expecting but amazing nonetheless and the sweet was gone by the end of the party. The man knows his meats and takes pride in what he does. I can see how some people's reviews had pegged him as rude but he's really not lol. If he thinks you have a bad idea he'll tell you, as I said before, he takes pride in his food and doesn't take kindly to being told how to do his job. They are also always really busy so he's always rushing around and doesn't like to waste time with trivial questions. The sides, which are also made daily, were fantastic as well, I got pea salad, potato salad, cole slaw, and baked beans. The buns you get with the pork are HUGE, fresh, and tasty as well. My only regret was not ordering some extra bbq sauce, the meat was plenty sauced let me start with that, well if you want to be technical you're responsible for how much sauce you add, I'll explain. I ordered 9 pounds of pork, 5 sweet 4 smoky. It comes deconstructed, you get a big steaming pan of amazing, smoked daily, tender, pulled pork then he gives you enough containers of sauce to adequately cover the amount of pork you got. Now as I said it was plenty saucy which he explained to me when I asked if I should order more. He was offended at first thinking i was going to buy sauce at the store type of thing lmao, I explained no I was gonna get some of yours, he explained I wouldn't need it which normal people wouldn't. However I have 2 friends that eat it like a damn sloppy joe and that was their first question of course 🙄 But I have absolutely no complaints about the food, service, or prices! We'll definitely stop by there at some point to enjoy dinner one...

Not what I would call good BBQ. Had the brisket, was mushy like an overcooked potroast. Didn't bother to trim the excess fat off, so my first bite was a big bite of nothing but mushy fat! Had a decent smoke ring but didn't have the smoky flavor. Tried a piece of the bark that wasn't drowned in bbq sauce, had very little flavor which further leads me to believe that they braise the meat after it comes off the smoker which removes most of the smoke flavor! The hack that cut up the brisket had no idea that you are supposed to cut across the grain of the meat, not just start at one end and hack your way across. All of the meat I saw come out of the kitchen was drowned in sauce, couldn't see the meat at all! The potato salad was a little weirdly sweet, it appears they use sweet relish instead of chopped pickles. Cole slaw was pretty good, not great. Service was quick, got my food fast and hot!. Fountain drinks only, no tea of any kind, disappointing for a bbq joint. Overall this place would not last a month in Texas, Kansas City or the Carolinas. Sorry that the people here have obviously never had good BBQ, that is judging by the reviews anyway, I have had BBQ in all three of the previously mentioned states and their mediocre BBQ is better that this place. Oh and just 2 sauces, regular and spicy, neither was spicy, nor good, just ehh. Sort of a Kansas City style sauce. For $20.00 worth of "food" I also expected something more than plasticware. I was fine with the food being served on butcher paper and a roll of paper towels on the table, my wife doesn't like this but I don't care I'm there for the food, not a...

Stopped in for a quick lunch. I was looking forward to enjoying my favorite the pitmaster hot dog. I had ate it a few years ago as it was highly recommend by a local co-worker and finally was in the area once again. I stopped in around 12:30 and there were two tables already seated. The older gentleman and young boy that took my order- asked to take my order but did so in a way that made me feel like it was a hinderance to take my order. Just a pitmaster dog with fries..to go. When my order was up he set it on the counter and said my order was ready, not a thank you, not a see you next time, or have a nice day. I drove around the corner (literally) to enjoy my long awaited meal. I opened my container, found a pitmaster dog that was cold along with the toppings. There was hardly any sauce or cheese and two ( only two) jalapeños. The fries I got were whatever was left in the basket- bits and and over crunchy and ice cold! So, 10 dollars and I was kind enough to tip $2.00 for the poor customer service and ice cold meal. I understand the economy is feeling the pinch of cost inflation, and it comes with a cost to businesses- as a person from the food serivce industry-one would think all business would be appreciated and treated as such. I was very disappointed 😞 and will opt to spend my money elsewhere with better service and...

I got the 4 meat platter , no sauce and gave the sides to my bf since I eat keto and he got the hillbilly sandwich. All the meat was very good. His sister said the sides were not good tasted like canned baked beans and prepackaged coleslaw. The place was a little grimy and dingy and smoky and the owner or man running the counter / taking the orders was kind of mean and talking politics which doesn't personally offend me but not good business practice. He seemed like he couldn't care less that he has people supporting his business. I'm on a roadtrip so I doubt I'll be back but I would eat there again because the meat is good.

The other reviews about the place going downhill are correct. I used to eat here weekly (pre-VID) only when I was extremely hungry, pig down a delicious Mississippi Nacho, and go to bed happy and plus a pound or two. Got the same exact thing today and received it room temperature/cold. Package was very heavy, maybe 2lb, great because I was really hungry. I open it up and have to fish for about 3 spoonfuls of meat and a few nachos. The rest of the weight is this horrible vinegar bbq sauce and cold nacho cheese. AND IT WAS $16! Avoid until the place changes hands or gets shut down.

Service was great. Food was okay. Meat was very dry and the sides tasted like they came out of a can. Potato salad had some kind of seasoning that was good, but seemed like it was added to mass produced. It has a small town, cozy feel to it. Having eaten BBQ all over this country I would have to say I wouldnt go back or reccomend it though. It seemed as if it was more of a business that BBQ place. (No passion in food, just a throw together to make some money)
