First time visitors. We stopped after a long weekend working both days long hours. We wanted a steak meal. That's not what we got, we GOT a absolutely outstanding perfectly prepared meal. Our drinks were made to perfection as well. I recommend the Rum Punch its a well blended triple rum concoction! We ordered Ribeye steaks one paired with garlic mashed potatoes another with custard potatoes both were nicely paired and balanced meal. The presented crackers that were homemade and warm along with rolls and butter very tasty!! After reviewing the drink menu and making selections we ordered our main course. Our drinks were bought timely and enjoyed! Perfectly time dinner arrived and it was mouth watering melt in your mouth steak!! Afterwards we made a selection from the dessert menu to share at home. The portions are generous but not too much. The food is high quailty and we felt reasonable for the $31 price tag for the Ribeye meal. The resturant is well appointed but comfortable and the lake side views are beautiful. You will find the dining area and bar cozy and warm perfect for a dining experience of this caliber. The only negative I would suggest is an update to the signage along US 35. There is alot of wording there and it isn't easy to understand what is at the property. The signage needs to match the high quality of the resturant in my opinion the signage sells it short. We find this resturant by a Google search. We live out of town and have driven past this property for years..we will return and thank you for a...

We always love the food and the majority of the staff really seem to enjoy what they’re doing. That said we usually dine in so this review is based partially on our first takeout experience. Please note if it were my only experience, the rating would be much lower.

Where the takeout experience wasn’t as good as our usual was first, after ordering several meals and reconfirming the final cost, we were told there was an automatic 15% gratuity added to all takeout orders. Wait, what? I can see charging a to-go fee but a percentage? I couldn’t be upset with the employee taking the order but it would have been good to know upfront. Where this system is so frustrating is the fact that someone has created this policy to pay staff rather than compensating them appropriately. Forcing a tip on your guests like this is not the answer. Again, I would happily tip appropriately for takeout and pay a take out fee to cover to-go expenses but I can’t say I’ll be rushing to get takeout from here again.

Almost all the food we received was perfectly cooked and delicious as always. I would highly suggest not using a bed of iceberg lettuce under fried items. By the time we got to the crab roll (5-10min) it was still warm but soggy from and tasted like the lettuce. Other than that it was all...

Can't say enough about the food, it's impeccable! The hostess and dining room staff are wonderful, and the view of the lake and the kitchen are splendid. The only marks down are for the bar. Not sure who the lead barkeep is, but she claims to make the best margaritas this side of the Mississippi. I'll have to beg to differ on that, but you know you are in good hands when the woman serving you has Joe Camel tattooed on her chest. There's also always a loud drunk older gentleman in the bar that they say is the owner. Again, I would like to beg to differ as no man in their right mind would behave as atrociously as he does at his place of business, especially in front of so many customers. Perhaps he is in his left mind, for his actions are unfathomable. He belittles the employees and insults the customers. There is a gang of geriatric greatness at his throne table, encouraging his deviant behavior. If I get any more personal than that, they will take down my review, so I will leave you with that. Potential to be the best in LaPorte County, so long as the bar is left out of...

Updated 9/15/2023. My wife and I have dined here several times each Fall for many years. Continued high praise for the service and food. Shrimp cocktail was spectacular as our appetizer. We had two choice cuts of beef; NY Strip ordered medium and Ribeye ordered medium rare. Both steaks were cooked to order perfectly. The vegetable of the day, asparagus was seasoned well, charred for flavor and cooked but not soft. Excellent. Desert, carrot cake and turtle cheese cake, was to die for. Only two areas of concern from our meal. First, the NY Strip was not the quality of cut we would expect from T-bones with a large stripe of gristle in the middle of the meat. At times it could not be chewed. The sautéed mushrooms are just not the same as they have been in years past. Large, soft, certainly no sign they were fresh mushrooms recently. I’ve had better canned. All being said, we’ll leave our rating at five star for the great history we’ve had there. But we’ll probably take the rest of Fall and try out other fine dining in the area.

I went to T-bones about a year ago for a family party. At that time, I was severely underwhelmed by the flavor of the food my party received. However, I returned today and was very pleasantly updated. The Fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp was delicious. I also got the opportunity to try the scallops as well - perfectly cooked and the flavor was phenomenal. I didn't get a chance to appreciate the beautiful wood fixtures and scenery the restaurant had to offer last fall but I really regret thinking poorly of the establishment. Our waitress was probably the most sweet, attentive, and kind woman I've ever been served by. She gave us a free dessert for someone in my party who was celebrating a birthday. It was a truly five-star experience.
