The Boardwalk Beach Bar & Grill — Restaurant in La Porte

We went to the Boardwalk on Labor Day; it wasn’t very busy even though it was a holiday on Pine Lake. We sat ourselves (per the sign) however we were not acknowledged until my husband went to the bar after 10 minutes of waiting to ask if we were supposed to put orders in at the bar or if a waitress would come by our table to take our orders. (Being a more laid back bar, it could have gone either way) The bartender was very dismissive and said she would be by. Finally someone came by our table (she never introduced herself so I’m unsure of a name) and took our water/soft drink orders. We also asked to put in our food order at that same time. We still did not have food 45 minutes later so we flagged down the waitress who told us it’d be another 10 minutes or so but that the kitchen still had not started our food. It would have been understandable if it was super busy but it was not or if the waitress had updated us at all on the kitchen situation but she did not. I was at Boardwalk today. 1st.. food was ok they messed up my order and my to go order. While we eating at the lake bar top the people behind us ( guests of the hotel) were letting their kid puke allover the lawn...while we were eating. Went to say some thing and the co-owners son was like what do you want me to do about it kids are gonna puke. I said "are you being serious?"... he was nothing was done as I made multiple complaints while waiting for my right to go order. Then the to go order box bottom was covered in marinera and it got all over. Needless to say I will not be going back there. Worst restaurant...

Walked in there were only 3 tables with people at them. Nobody was at bar. We sat down and waited for service....after 10 minutes we had not been acknowledged in any way. Two different servers were at the tables next to us at least two different times. Not a hello, i will be with you shortly....nothing. Bartender had no one at bar ......after another 5 minutes we walked out. Was looking forward to trying a couple of their specialty drinks and a flatbread....oh well....their loss. I might give them another...
