We were in town visiting and decided to stop at this restaurant due to the positive reviews. We saw a sign advising people to seat yourself and seated ourselves outdoors, near the entrance. From our seat, we had a very good view of Pine Lake, one of the few positive things. The other positive is the food, which was very good and reasonably priced. Now to our negative experience. We felt like we were ignored as we believed this establishment to cater to their regulars or locals, and others, like ourselves were ignored. We had two different servers. The first one (Server#1) set the menus on the table, took our drink order, which we only had water. She returned, took our order for some fried mushrooms appetizer, and brought them out a short time later. She only returned a short time later to refill our water and apparently handed us off to another server. Server #2 later arrives to take our dinner order. She was decent, however she seemed a little inexperienced. Our wait time for a double bacon burger with fries and an Italian Beef with Fries was at least 45 minutes or longer. As we waited, we watched another patron bring 2 large dogs, on a long leash, barking, walking up to customers tables and etc. We also observed Server #1, playing with the dogs, then later handling customers drinks, food and etc.. I am a very patient person, however we were within minutes from leaving, as our food subsequently arrived. No apology for our wait time, as our food was placed onto the table by Server #2. As previously stated, the food was above average, Service, definitely not. We finished eating and had to wait even longer for our bill so we could pay and leave. At which time, I had to go into the restaurant to find someone. Server #1 was near me at the time I stood up from the table and she completely ignored me as she engaged with other guests. Server #2 finally arrived with our bill and to go containers. This IS THE FIRST restaurant I left and did not leave a tip. Truly I hope this happens to no one else whom patronize...
Read moreI came with a bunch of coworkers for an afterhours evening of food and drinks. I was served the Daytona wings and was not happy with them. The idea, as the waitress explained to me, is that they get charred on a grill as a finishing touch. Due to a sugary sauce, they just tasted burnt with this step and after I told a waitress this, I was given quite the fuss about how "that's just how they should be". A tense back and forth and she finally offered to have them remade.
I have to note, this was after a long day where I just wanted to unwind with my coworkers. She returned with the dish and walked away. I started eating them and immediately commented to my coworkers that they tasted the same but had more if the sweet sauce on them. "Whatever" I remarked, it's been such a hassle with this waitress.
This young lady comes back and asks about the wings just to throw in my face that they are the same wings as before and weren't remade and walks away.
The audacity. What staff treats their customers like this? I wasn't being rude, I calmly communicated I wasn't enjoying my dish, and I get gaslighted and shamed?
I would stear clear of them, I'd even recommend Buffalo Wild Wings over them - their service, on several visits, wasn't characterized as passive aggressive. Foods pretty good too, never had issues with them.
My team stuck with our usual choice of Wings Etc for afterwork drinks after...
Read moreMade a quick stop here for some food and a beer after a long drive from Oregon to Maine. The atmosphere although a little loud (but it's a bar scene so who cares) was great. The waitress did an amazing job despite how busy it was. She was fast and catered to my gals and my needs. Over all my gal and I loved the visit to the bar and grill. Andi haven't even gotten to the food yet. We ordered a jumbo clam basket and chilli as an appetizer. The chilli tasted like your run of the mill chilli the clams were good. But my gal ordered pineapple habanero wingless chicken wings which were to die for. I ordered a burger and fries. The fries were fresh looked like they were made right from the potato. The fries alone were amazing. But this burger. My first bite, I felt like I died and went to heaven. Real (not literally) out of body experience. This burger has ruined my expectations of what any other burger should taste like. I can't even describe it. It was perfectly cooked, the flavor was amazing it was huge. Mind you I ordered the biggest burger. I'm a bartender myself and hands down this was one of my Greatest experiences on my 3000 mile trip. I'll be returning here in my way...
