Epic.
As another has noted, it's definitely not fine dining. In fact, it's probably closer to taco truck dining. The food is absolutely awesome, though. I go here whenever I get the chance. The prices are a cut below reasonable, the customer service (if you can speak Spanish) is great--they will try to accommodate any special order you ask, as long as they have the ingredients, and I think it's family owned. I don't even live in the area, but I still think about it when I am in San Pedro. There are a few places that may be able to compete, but honestly, it's as close to authentic as you can get, without finding yourself in someone's home with a home cooked Mexican meal. I've lived in the Los Angeles area a long time and I've yet to have Mexican food as good. I've also had lots of different Mexican food dining experiences and lots of homemade Mexican food. When I can't just pop over to one of my friend's places to get some homemade Mexican food, I try to come here. Expect good food, expect good service, expect a run-down dining area.
This place is truly a best-kept-secret...
Read moreI always order chili cheese fries when I come here. 😋 if you haven't had them from here your missing out. My only complaint about the restaurant is the trays they serve the food in. I don't know about other people but I hate eating plastic🤦🤷. I often ask for my trays to be covered with foil 😒 but when I do that they get a little attitude 🙄. And I don't want the people making my food mad soooooo😒 I stopped asking and now I try to hurry up and dump it in my own container, but when I'm not fast enough I get crunchy bits of melted foam stuck to my food. I wouldn't complain at all if those materials did no harm to the human body 🤦, but it can cause cancer and other things so I'm gonna have to say something...all the time now I will ask for foil..I don't care how upset anyone gets. I'll take a picture so you can all see what I mean. Anywhere you go..not just here, if they have trays that are foam plastic ask for covering...or you can thumbs down my review if you love eating plastic 🤷😊 Again the food is great, I just hate...
Read moreA hole in the wall walk up window with 1 picnic bench for dining. So it's a to go place. Ironically the enchiladas are so so. But their tacos are the best! Don't expect authentic soft corn tortilla tacos. Think more Jack in the box tacos but far superior. I know that doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement but believe me it is! Burritos are great and if the right lady is working the kitchen you will have the best chili relleno in the world. Prices are higher than they used to be but still fair. Give it a try. It's even worth the drive if you do nothing else...
