It's good as a roof over your head. No bugs, which is more than I can say for lots of places. I stayed 5 days for work in the area. The service is fine, polite and helpful. Unfortunately the room itself really leaves a lot to be desired. The microwave is badly dented and makes me nervous, the refrigerator works well but is also badly dented. The ac/heater works well but I can see straight outside through it's hole in the wall to the outside. The AC also has a hole in it. Maybe someone went nuts with a hammer? The curtains are broken and taped to the wall. The TV is just weird, it seems to be a streaming service and not cable so it buffers a lot. There is a table but no chair. At least there are lots of food options around and it's close to the Port of LA. There are also USB ports by the bed, which I appreciate. Update: stayed again the following week for two days in a different room. No microwave at all but the cable worked. No USB ports but it did have a chair. No clock either. Seems like it's hit or miss with various minor issues. Update #2: I stayed again for 5 days. Service is still great, this room was much better maintained. No microwave but everything else was good. This one even had a clock.

This place was exactly what we needed. The price was good relative to anything else around. We booked a room with two queen beds (#112). There was a working TV, mini fridge, and microwave in the room. I am easily grossed out by germs and things that strangers have used before me, but I didn't have any problems at this Inn. The beds looked and felt clean. I expected the beds to be horrible, but I actually thought these beds were great. The bathroom looked like it had been cleaned. There was a new roll of toilet paper and new toiletries in the bathroom when we arrived. The front desk was welcoming and helpful. We arrived at the Inn around 9pm on a Thursday and were starving. There were plenty of food options within quick walking distance for us to get to. I highly recommend "SP Tacos". We made the walk with a 2yr old and a 4yr old and I felt safe. There were a few homeless people, but the other locals were really friendly when we interacted with them. This is a great place to stay if you're on a budget and want to be near the Royal cruise ship terminal. I would 100% stay here again the next time I go on a cruise.

Worse experience - don’t stay here. The room was dirty, hair in the drain, sink would not drain, No hand soap, towels had stains, dirty hand prints on the walls and doors. Poor isolation you can hear the street traffic and woke up to domestic flight. Found disgusting stains on the sheets we requested new sheets and discovered even more horrible stains in every layer bedding that was probably never washed. Breakfast was advertised but were told after we arrived it was suspend. With other hotels in the area with similar price this place should not charge what they do. After reading other reviews I’m certain they are fake or staff written. (Repost -This post got delated I wonder why 🤔?)

If you value hygiene DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. This hotel is FILTHY, MOLDY and RUN DOWN. It's in total disrepair. The hallways look like a mugging waiting to happen, if you're dumb enough to book this place don't walk those hallways at night. The room was indescribably NASTY. It's as if in addition to being disgustingly filthy, everyone's worst nightmares appeared to have been lived out in there. There are holes punched into doors, a ridiculous amount of stains on the carpet, MOLD all over the bathroom, hair all over the bathroom, in the tub, on the walls, on the toilet. Broken TV, the absolute least of the things wrong with this room but worth noting because it would have been nice to watch something to take my mind off of the disease and illness I was probably catching while staying here. This place looks like the kind of motel where someone on the run would dye their hair to try to change their identity before the swat team shows up and surrounds the place for a shootout. I mean good Lord, what are these people thinking keeping a hotel in this condition? When I described this to the front office staff, the guy says ONE WORD, "sorry". No further questions, no reassurances that someone would be told about these issues so they could be fixed for the next sorry sap that was cheap and therefore subjected to the misfortune of having to sleep there. He was however concerned about writing a note about the TV not working. What the actual......The other negative reviews are accurate. Pay a little more and go to a hotel chain that has some actual standards for cleanliness, safety and disease prevention. I am going to be contacting corporate offices and see how they feel about our experience. I'm interested to see if this is coming from the top down. The only acceptable outcome for this hotel is that it be condemned. This place was mind-blowingly gross and the staff is creepy. If you've read this far and you're so cheap that you booked this place anyway then you desreve what you're going to experience...

My family really enjoyed our stay here! Maria, the Supervisor was super friendly and accommodating. My family had booked a weeks stay at the hotel and she really made us feel welcomed like family and that made all the difference in the world to us! The rooms are clean . The beds are comfy as well as the blankets. There is a microwave and mini fridge in each room. The staff were all super friendly and we could appreciate how much of an effort the staff put into their work there at the hotel. Most of the guests are pretty friendly and it was overall a pleasure to stay there. Being a clean freak, I was very grateful that although the decor is a little outdated (reminded me of the wallpaper and fixtures from the Home Alone movie) the rooms were well kept and one of the housekeepers, Salinda, made us feel very special with the way she kept up with our rooms, beds, and folded fresh towels. The AC and hot water/water pressure were awesome and I enjoyed showering there. The breakfast room was well stocked and had a variety of cereals, bagels, pastries, toast, Waffles, HB Eggs, Yummy Coffee, tea, and to my kids surprise, Hot Cocoa! Breakfast was complimentary and the breakfast hostesses Estella and Connie were very welcoming. We made sure to leave a little tip for them after we'd eaten. Marilyn in the lobby was a sweetheart and was always there to answer our questions. Edward, in the maintenance department was very professional and had to come and fix our toilet after my daughter clogged it. The Manager, Roberto, was so understanding and kind. Anyhow, as I said before we stayed there for a little over a week and would definitely stay here again for the value, attention to detail, location, and most of all the wonderful staff!!! Myself and family send a huge thank you to all of the staff for their help...

We needed a hotel near the cruise ship terminal in San Pedro and Vagabond Inn popped up and was in our price range. I noticed they offered a free breakfast as well as a free shuttle to the terminal. Our flight got in late so we didn’t check in until about 8pm. We were greeted with a smile and I inquired about the shuttle and was told they were all full for the following day. The front desk person was kind enough to add our name to the list of the full shuttle and told us to come down 30 mins before we needed to leave in case someone wasn’t going to show up, we could use their spots.

Our room was up to par. This isn’t a fancy hotel so I wasn’t expecting much. The linens were clean and everything in our room worked. My only complaint is that some of my bedding smelled like smoke as they have some smoking rooms. It’s hard to get that smell out of bedding no matter how many times it’s laundered.

We went into the lobby the next morning and had a few items from the “grab and go” breakfast. There was fruit, plenty of juice, coffee, tea as well as some packaged breakfast pastries. Once back in our room, the front desk called US to let us know some people had removed themselves from the shuttle list. We packed up and headed down. The shuttle driver was very helpful and kind. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget. It gets the job done and everyone we can across that worked there was very nice. There are a lot of places to eat nearby, which was a plus. Mostly fast food but when it's late, that will...
