Been wanting to review this place, finally found some time to do so. This place needs a proper review so people know how awesome it is. IF YOU HAVE NOT TRIED THIS PLACE, TRY IT NOW! If you are into Japanese food, fresh sashimi, Ramen, Sushi Rolls, this is one of the best places to have it. I had tried the Monterey Park location, but was so happy that this place opened up nearby. I asked if they are part of the same Chain, and I was told yes, even some of the staff was brought over to get this place started. The Servers and manager were extremely nice and accommodating. Some of the new staff you can tell was new, but was really nice. One of the biggest pros that I can say about this place is the space! I always had to wait so long in Monterey Park, but there is a lot of seating here, even if you have a party of 8.
Food So many good options, like I said the fish is fresh, and food is delicious. I would recommend the Sashimi Platter, so good with the REAL Wasabi. Heart attack are made with huge Jalepeno, and so much better then all you can eat sushi places. Hungry Man is one of our favorite rolls, and their grand opening special for beer and sake is the cherry on top.
Place again is big and clean, the parking lot has plenty of parking. Again wonderful experience, will be...
Read moreReally great place. My husband and I are from Texas and we're in town for a few days. We recognized the great Japanese influence on the area and wanted to enjoy some Japanese style cuisine, something I enjoy and my husband is so-so about. My husband loved their teriyaki style chicken. I got the tuna sushi burrito. I grew up eating sushi and for me it is hard to be full from sushi and not break the bank. The sushi burrito is a large serving and very fresh. It comes with plenty of sauces, Wasabi, and ginger. We also got some ice cold beer on tap for .99 cents per pint. It was perfectly frosted, like a beer out of the freezer right as it begins to freeze around the sides. The server was very friendly, even offering some advice on places to visit and very attentive to our table. The restaurant and bathrooms are very clean. The establishment feels like a hidden gem, real but with the quality of a heavily visited spot in a popular area. It is a great balance of high end and community restaurant feel. I would...
Read moreMy sister's pork chashu meat in the raman was spoiled. I smelled it too so did my our mom and we agreed it smelled like spoiled rotton meat. Never did my meat smell rotton with previous visits to this restaurant. My sister informed the waiter and the manager came, and instead of removing the raman soup from the bill or trying to fix the problem, he agrued that the meat was fine and tried to explain to my sister how pork meat should smell and that it was fine. A person knows when something smelles rotton!! So disappointing. If my six year nephew is also telling his mom the meat stinks, what does that say! We will never come here again, any restaurant would apologize and give your money back with no hesitation to a customer! Beware of food poisoning at this restaurant. The customer should always be right but at this restaurant...
